The birdbrained folks who made this atrocious movie ought to be tarred and feathered.

We tried pretty hard to find something good about Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon - story, music, acting, photography - but drew a blank.

This silly romance seems devoid of any artistic merit.

A sophomoric story leaves no chance of salvaging this film.

Director Sooraj Barjatya, who delivered two of Bollywood's biggest hits - Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun - has delivered a stinker in Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon.

Prem Kishen (Hrithik Roshan) visits Sundernagar where he stays with Sanjana (Kareena Kapoor) and her parents.

Mistakenly believing that their guest is the rich eligible bachelor Prem Kumar (Abhishek Bachchan) that they are expecting from the U.S, Sanjana's parents roll out the red carpet for Prem Kishen. But unbeknownst to them Prem Kishen is only an employee in Prem Kumar's company.

Soon, Prem Kishen and Sanjana are in love and besotted with each other.

Once Sanjana's family realizes the error of identities, her incensed mother tries to wean her daughter away from Prem Kishen and get her married to the wealthy Prem Kumar, who arrives there with his mother. Adding to the complication, Prem Kumar falls in love with Sanjana.

How true love triumphs in the end makes up the rest of this silly film.

The songs are as lousy as the rest of this movie.

Abhishek Bachchan is stiff and needs to bone up on his acting. Hrithik Roshan is all right but held hostage by the assinine story. Kareena Kapoor and her gang of girls seem so silly.

Sundernagar must indeed be an idyllic paradise: the place has snowcapped mountains, fine beaches and a pristine beauty that can be rivaled only by Heaven.

Besides Mumbai, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon has been filmed in New Zealand and Mauritius. - Copyright SearchIndia.com.
