Run for your life. What else can you really say about a crass movie where a monkey, - yes, a monkey - serendipitously appears to help the hero by operating heavy equipment such as a massive crane.

The movie centers around a deaf but honest motorbike stuntsman Avinash (Kamal Haasan) a.k.a Mumbai Xpress who - to help out his sister - signs up with some kidnappers to lift a young boy from a school for some quick ransom.

And pray how do the kidnappers propose to carry out their mission? Through a bizarre plan that involves taking the boy from a school playground with the help of a mammoth crane.

The bumbling kidnappers end up lifting the wrong kid, who is the illegitimate son of a police officer (Om Puri) and Ahilya (Manisha Koirala).

The rest of the movie is a weird charade of ransom payment made by a businessman whose son has actually not been kidnapped although he was the real intended victim, a 10-year-old kid threatening suicide from a high-rise, and such nonsense.

This movie revolves around Kamal Haasan with Om Puri and Manisha Koirala playing peripheral roles.

Even Kamal Haasan's considerable talents cannot lift up this movie out of its mediocre cesspool given the moronic story line.

Steer clear of this movie. - Copyright SearchIndia.com.
