Pyaar Ke Side Effects is a charming romantic comedy, a rara avis in Bollywood.

It's been long since we derived so much pleasure from watching a Hindi movie.

What makes Pyaar Ke Side Effects different is that it avoids the garish, ridiculous story lines of most Bollywood movies.

Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose delight us with their performances and the narrative flows smoothly.

Sid (Rahul Bose) is a DJ in love with Trisha (Mallika Sherawat), an ad executive and daughter of a retired general.

They have been going steady with each other for three years and now Trish wants to take their relationship to the next level. She wants to get married, have kids etc.

Although Sid loves Trish dearly, the idea of marriage gives him the shivers. Maybe, it's because his parents' marriage broke up or maybe he's just like any other guy for whom the thought of marriage gives the jitters.

Mallika Sherawat has earned her reputation on the strength of her voluptuous curves but as Pyaar Ke Side Effects shows the oomph lady can act quite well too.

Rahul Bose is of course a fine actor. We liked him in 15 Park Avenue. And he is just adorable in Pyaar Ke Side Effects. - Copyright SearchIndia.com.
