Dhamaal has fared badly at the U.S. box office in its first weekend.

Starring the Bollywood convict Sanjay Dutt and a bunch of C-grade actors like Riteish Deshmukh and Arshad Warsi, Dhamaal’s take at the box office for the September 7-9, 2007 weekend was a mere $166,339.

Released in 39 theaters, Dhamaal came in at No-34 in the U.S. box office for the Sep. 7-9 weekend.

Compared to Heyy Babyy and Chak De India, Dhamaal’s performance in the U.S. has been disappointing.

Heyy Babyy was No-24 in the box office chart for the August 24-26, 2007 weekend with a gross of $612,486.

In its first weekend (August 10-12), Chak De India starring Shah Rukh Khan came in at No-20 and grossed $351,887.
