Bachna Ae Haseeno Plunges 61% at Box Office

Yash Raj Films’ latest crap-show Bachna Ae Haseeno fell sharply in its second weekend at the U.S. box office.

For the August 22-24 weekend, the Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Minissha Lamba, Bipasha Basu piece of shit had to suffer the ignominy of its gross collections falling 61.2% to $125,081.

Playing at 67 theatres, Bachna Ae Haseeno came in at No-37 for the second weekend and had an average gross of $1,866.

Compared to other prominent Bollywood films in the second weekend at the U.S. box office, Bachna Ae Haseeno has fared miserably:

WSJ Screws Suzlon

Indian windmill giant Suzlon Energy got buggered by the Wall Street Journal (subscription required) today.

In a hard-hitting piece, the WSJ story said Suzlon is encountering headwinds in India after its well publicised problems in the international market:

Suzlon Energy Ltd., the world’s fifth-largest wind- turbine maker by sales, is facing complaints in its home market of India over technical problems with turbines, only months after blades it sold to U.S. buyers began cracking.

Some of Suzlon Energy’s largest Indian customers say their turbines fail to generate anywhere near the amount of electricity expected, suffer from excessive vibrations during high winds and have control problems costing them millions of dollars in lost power revenue.

“The machines are not fit to handle the wind,” said Shrenik Baldota, managing director of MSPL Ltd., an Indian mining company and one of India’s largest investors in wind power.

Infosys to Acquire UK SAP Consultant Axon Group

Indian software powerhouse Infosys is acquiring UK SAP consulting firm Axon Group for $753.1 million.

The deal is expected to close by November this year.

The 2,000-man Axon Group, which provides SAP consultancy services to MNCs, has offices in the UK, North America, Malaysia and Australia.

In 2007, Axon Group reported a net income of $37.4 million on revenues of $378.3 million.

Lately we’ve come upon reports that you are actively engaged in discussions to reimburse those schmuck distributors/exhibitors for the massive loss incurred because of their ill-advised decision to pay a premium for your Kuselan crap-show.

Judas anna, by just focusing on distributors you are ignoring another constituency that fed you, nourished you and made you wealthy beyond all your wildest bus-conductor dreams.
