Two new Indian consulates are coming up in Atlanta and Seattle to address the growing Indian community in these cities.
India’s Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon made the announcement about the two new consulates during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s current visit to the U.S.

Besides the Indian embassy in Washington DC, India’s Ministry of External Affairs already has consulates in New York, Houston, Chicago and San Francisco.
