while I think your coverage is fair,(and frank), i disagree with the balanced part….you guys only come out with the negative side of india….there isn’t a single positive post i have read(and please don’t suggest there is no positive side to the country)….so it ain’t balanced…do correct me if i am reading ‘balanced’ with a different pespective….

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write: i disagree with the balanced part….you guys only come out with the negative side of india….there isn’t a single positive post i have read (and please don’t suggest there is no positive side to the country)….

Oh My God. There are so many, many positive things happening in India. You just have to look around…

See Rapes are increasing, acid throwing is on the rise, terrorists are holding the country to ransom, power shortages loom across the country, corporate crooks are screwing the system for years, Bollywood is making money on stolen shit, women can’t recognize their husband without a moustache, whackos are welcoming Hindi terrorists, some 29 million court cases are pending, at least 231 million Indians go hungry every day, some three or four million Mumbaikars wouldn’t recognize a toilet if it hit them on the face, Shriya Saran is the only male in Kollywood, the Home Minister is a decrepit dodo….

Did you say Positive Side of India?

BTW, when did you last get your eyes tested?

    Mera Bharat Mahan.

  4. aditya_k   January 7, 2009 at 10:09 pm

I certainly don’t have a problem with your posts….there has to be somebody to point out the flaws in a system like ours where people tend to get carried away….only don’t call yourselves ‘balanced’ (‘critical’ would be apt)…..it seems you are the exact opposite of the other websites….you manage to find the negative things others fail to see and they manage to bring out the positive side you don’t see….dig a little will ya (if you are interested that is)….mera bharat mahaan, sau me se ninyaanve baimaan!!

  5. aditya_k   January 7, 2009 at 10:12 pm

BTW what did you mean by this? please elaborate…

‘The raison d’etre of Indian IITs and other higher education institutions has been merely to subsidize America’s higher education.’

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

What we mean (sarcastically) here is that the various IITs are saving U.S. the cost of educating their engineers since a lot of IIT engineers migrate to the U.S.

Hey, hi! First of all, accept my belated happy new year wishes! Here’s wishing you a great year ahead, I hope your site becomes more famous, gets more number of clicks, and, on a more personal note, may you achieve all the goals/realize all the dreams you set for yourself in 2009!

This year has breaking news right from the start, God knows what lies ahead. Did you know that Raju is absconding right now, his house is empty, and no one has any clue about his whereabouts, people are guessing that he might have left India even before he wrote that so called resignation letter.

There hav been talks of him going to either the US or Dubai, who knows, jus chk around in the neiborhood, maybe he might pop up smwhr, heh. If it were me, I should retire to a small village in Andhra where television is still unknown, and live happily without ever being recognized, I wonder why they dont think of that 😉

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write: no one has any clue about his whereabouts

Last night, the guy who bagged our grocery at Acme Supermarket looked like Raju…do you think he may have come here?

If there is a reward (payable in $$, of course), we are willing to go to Acme & check again.

Ventane jawabu ivvandi dayachesi (please respond promply)

Health, Happiness & Prosperity to You too in 2009 & the years ahead.

You know Telugu, too?! Thats nice! 🙂

Oh well, those people are having a hard time covering their as*es, oops, i meant losses, heh. No question of any rewards, but I bet the investors r itching to get their hands on him. Atleast the board issued a statement that they r not gonna issue any pink slips, which is a good thing, tho salaries r goin to come down by 10%. Lets see where this all ends up. Till then, fingers crossed.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    1. You write: You know Telugu, too?! Thats nice!

    Maa ooru Nelluru.

    Ma maama NTR.

    Maa peru Tenali Ramudu.

Maa Telugu bagunda? (a short Telugu rhyme about our Andhra origins 😉 ha ha)

    2. You write: salaries r goin to come down by 10%

Salaries are gonna come down by 100% for a lot of employees. Just watch.

    @ aditya_k

you talk like a high school kid in NIC (national integration camp). The ‘positives’ that you talk about have made many individuals better but not India better. Do you know the poor literacy rate in India, increase of people below poverty line day by day, increasing crime rates…

In TN there are voters who still vote for MGR who dead decades ago, if you go and tell them he is dead they will kill you.

Day by day India is becoming worse and unsafe. The rich are becoming richer and law and enforcement work round the clock only for the rich. The prosperity and growth you talk about is only in urban places. New Delhi and Bombay are not India.

  10. aditya_k   January 9, 2009 at 2:49 pm

    @joeantony

you say ‘The prosperity and growth you talk about is only in urban places’….so you agree that at least some part of india is progressing….I am only saying that SI chooses to write about the non-progressing part of the country only (for eg. while ridiculing companies like satyam, they could once in a while appreciate the work at places like ISRO)….BUT I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT….only they shouldn’t call themselves ‘balanced’…..I hope my point is clear….

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

ISRO – another mediocre outfit…reinventing the wheel.

Here’s an example – Antrix was set up as ISRO’s commercial arm in 1992.

After 16 years, Antrix’ sales are a mere Rs 300 crore. Pitiful.

  11. aditya_k   January 10, 2009 at 12:17 am

antrix did not take off since most countries which can afford to launch a satellite have their own space program anyway…..as i said, you choose to look at the negative side only….ISRO has emerged as the most efficient satellite launching outfit in the world, with the PSLV having 14 successful launches on the trot…..ISRO also managed to launch 10 satellites in a single launch (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/2989685.cms),a feat NASA failed at miserably……the precision with which chandrayaan mission was excecuted is unprecedented (this is according to our H.O.D, aerospace dept,i take his word for it)….mediocre eh? sometimes its necessary to reinvent the wheel to keep up with the world…..if only you had mentioned these things along with the antrix part i could have called you balanced….

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

When we provide undisputable facts, some people find it unpalatable….

    did you watch shaurya?
