Romance Publisher Offers Free Downloads

Just in time for Valentine’s Day (Feb 14), romantic books publisher Harlequin is offering 16 titles of its e-books for free download.

Harlequin says the 16 titles are written by some of its top-selling authors and will be available for digital download throughout 2009 here.

The free romance e-titles include Slow Hands by Leslie Kelly, Price of Passion by Susan Napier, The Bride’s Baby by Liz Fielding, His Lady Mistress by Elizabeth Rolls and Dancing in the Moonlight by RaeAnne Thayne.

Slow Hands and Price of Passion certainly sound interesting, na?

We checked out the site to see if the free download works – Yes, it does and the books are available in PDF, ePub, eReader and MS Reader formats.

The freebies are part of Harlequin’s 60th anniversary celebrations.

In the spring of our lives (when we used to live in India), we read quite a few Harlequin romances. We can’t remember how we felt then but now in the autumn days of our lives all we can say is Total Nonsense.

Heh, sure sounds good! I’ll download em! I’m not too keen though, cos I dont like ebooks! Was busy till yesterday watching FRIENDS; saved the entire series onto my laptop, and I’ve spent every single second of my time home watchin it since December. At last, now, its complete, watched the last episode ystdy nite, and now I feel like smthn’s missing! Did u watch it? Or like it?

    FRIENDS?

We’ve seen neither FRIENDS nor Friends.

BTW, Netflix has 10 seasons of FRIENDS, going back to 1994.

Maybe, we’ll watch one or two episodes in the near future just to see what we’ve missed.

The last serial we watched was Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi (most likely, before you arrived on this planet).

yeah, its all in caps, thats how that series is named. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. 🙂

the series stretched across a span of 10 years and 10 seasons, and every season rocks. it really helped me de-stress myself. you are into serious cinema, and stuff, so i dont know whether you’ll like it; but i think its hard to find someone who actually dislikes it 🙂

do watch an episode or two; i bet u’ll hav a hard time remembering tht the characters r actually from a tv show, and not real. i await your feedback.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

We’ll watch some episodes in a few days. Maybe, we’ll start in the middle, say Season 6 or 7.

U always say that, but u never watch or read what I suggest. I so wanted a feedback on that movie, The Orphanage; but you forgot it. Bridges of…. took so many months. I bet u’ll watch these episodes in Feb ’10 😉

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

The delay is because we’ve too many irons in the fire.

But we promise not to take more than a couple of weeks to watch a few episodes of FRIENDS.

Now, let’s get back to our yoghurt rice & magai/bellam magai uragaya.

    F.R.I.E.N.D.S

it made Jennifer Aniston’s nipples famous.. or the other way around.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Really? All the more reason for us to watch those episodes soon.

    Which season/episode had that display?

BTW, we think Jennifer Anniston looks ordinary (sort of like our Trisha). Nothing like Jessica Biel.

You don’t need netflix for catching some random episode..

TBS shows it several episodes a week.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Thanks.

Watching 13 Tzameti on Netflix Instant Play.

Friends is awesome…..I finished the 10 seasons in under two weeks, simply couldn’t turn it off….they say Seinfeld is better, but I never liked it much…

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

This weekend, we’ll try to watch some episodes of Friends. Over the years, we’ve seen a few episodes of Seinfeld. They were OK but not extraordinary. But de gustibus non est disputandum.
