We’re Happy; Hindu Bigot Varun Gandhi’s Goose Cooked

We are happy. 🙂

Hindu bigot and BJP leader Varun Gandhi’s goose is well and truly cooked with the Uttar Pradesh government booking the rabblerouser under the stringent provisions of the National Security Act for inciting communal tensions against Muslims.

This means Varun Gandhi will have a hard time – most likely impossible – getting out of jail on Monday even if he gets bail for his arrest on charges of inciting religious hatred filed by the Pilibhit police.

Subsequently, after the violence following Varun’s arrest, the Pilibhit police filed attempt to murder and rioting charges against him.

Under the provisions of the NSA, a person can be kept in custody without bail for up to six months (i.e. until after the election is over).

Varun Gandhi is the BJP candidate for the parliamentary elections from Pilibhit.

BJP Could Benefit
While Varun Gandhi may end up the loser, the BJP could benefit in the upcoming parliamentary elections as Varun’s arrest and detention is quite a potent issue that the party could use to polarize the Hindu masses and whip their asses into a frenzy.

Although Varun Gandhi has denied making the provocative speeches that he’s accused of, India’s Election Commission has refused to accept Varun’s claims that the CDs of his speeches were doctored.

Varun wanted to reach the top in politics quickly, the damage may be debarr from this election and few months in Jail, result: he will be a big leader by next election. He too happy on this whole thing. Please give us many other intersting stuff in this election. Still BJP will win, Kadavul is there.

Statements yet to be proved – Yet NSA slapped on Varun ….

We have a Prof from Kashmir …who has been convicted for the attack on parliment and the govt refuses to carry out the sentence …

This Govt is capable of only arresting such people ..

Two things to be noted here :

    1) This politics of vendetta will continue …tomm BJP will hit back …by arresting somebody else under NSA and then this will become some sort of political culture …as such this exists in states like UP and Bihar …where its some sort of a norm to carry out political arrests ….now it has started at a national level …with arrest of Pragya Thakur ..Purohit …and now Varun …..in all these cases …..nothing has been proved …..plain arrests …torture and media propaganda ….

    2) Misuse of such laws for political reasons ..one more such case ….so tomm these very same parties who indulge in misuse will oppose introducing such laws (POTA) to deal with terrorism …..by citing such examples …Misuse police , laws and waste the time of Judiciary …..

There are enough people in the country who are happy ….with Gujarat …Kandhamal …arrest of Varun Gandhi …and more people like him …..only goes on to prove that Hindus should unite ….under BJP ..

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write above: Statements yet to be proved and Misuse of such laws for political reasons

    Wrong.

India’s election commission has looked at the video of Varun Gandhi’s speeches on the CDs and concluded that his claims they were doctored do not hold water.

This is what the EC said:

The commission is far from convinced with such bald assertions. He has not denied anywhere in his explanation that he held the meetings covered and recorded in the CD and that he addressed the audience at those meetings and made speeches there. The commission has seen the CD, not once but several times repeatedly, and is fully convinced and satisfied that the CD has not been tampered with, doctored or morphed, as alleged by the respondent.

Stop parroting the point that it has not been proved.

Varun actually wanted to make a Modi, but despite of thriving hard he couldnt make out a bloody communal violence out of it. Anyway the jail drama will make him popular among the sena monkeys. BJP once again bet on the failed horse – Hindutva Extremism. As pre poll alliances are messy for both upa and nda, all thamasha awaits for the big time horse trading post poll.

Srinivas reminds me of Squealer from Animal Farm (George Orwell) . He defends actions of mass murderers like Modi, Pragya Thakur et al and tells us to join under BJP.

It’s like lets join NAZI to purge Germany of all the Jews. 😀

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

If Orwell were alive today, he’d probably say, All Indians are equal but some Indians (Hindus) are more equal than other Indians.

Well certainly i am not defending what varun gandhi uttered but if u observe keenly i think these thoughts will run through most of hindus in india at some point of time .. which is really not good for the entire nation.

Lot of anti-hindu policies of government at some point will really upset hindus who are the majority…. not every hindu is communal neither is not every muslim a jihadi…most of the middle class hindus are affected because of the reservations given to muslims n christains in educational institutions which will not only deprive deprive them of quality education but provide education to people who does not deserve it …..a Hindu gaining 85% will not be able to make it to the IIT but a Muslim or Christian having 50% score will make it to IIT ..

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

We are strongly in favor of reservation for Muslims in educational institutions and jobs keeping income in mind. Hopefully, we’ll see more Abdul Kalams and less whackos.

  7. neo   March 30, 2009 at 11:57 pm

hey sunnysonu iit takes joint entrance exam not board exams and admissions depends upon how every student performed that year and the top 4000 get the admissions.

True there are reservations but they are caste based not religion based. i do hope you understand the difference between caste and religion.

  8. neo   March 31, 2009 at 12:01 am

i think the bad thing is that from a country where more than 3 to 4 lac students give JEE every year only 7000 are selected including the quotas.the government should improve the infrastructure and take more students in iit.Even MIT takes more students than iit

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

They do seem to be increasing the number of IITs, which in our view is a mistake.

We ought to expand vocational training and improve educational infrastructure in rural areas. It’s been quite a while since we visited rural India but the last time we went there the state of our primary/middle school infrastructure was pretty dismal.

  9. kreacher   March 31, 2009 at 4:24 am

Neo: while your general statement is correct regarding there being no religion-based entry into IIT, it is not purely caste based. Yes, till last year the only reservation was for SC and ST, but now you have additional class-based reservation, using the definition of class as established by Mandal Commission.

So you might be a low-caste Hindu or a Muslim or a Christian and figure in the list of OBCs if you meet some non-religion based criteria, in which case you would be eligible for the 27% reservation. The criteria for determining an OBC are sometimes politically-motivated and not real indicators of the hardship faced by the needy. In particular the economic criteria blur the lines a bit. You could belong to a very rich family and may have never had any trouble in your family for the past 2 generations, but if your caste / class was deemed backward as per the 1931 census, then you reap the benefits.

The whole back and forth tussle to exclude the creamy layer among OBCs from these benefits originated from this discrepancy. The Union Government wanted to include the well to do in the list of eligible people, while the Supreme Court wanted to keep them out. The Government then revised the definition of creamy layer and increased the income ceiling for the same.

Note that contrary to perception the caste / OBC information is NOT presented in a census. The last time this was done was in 1931, the very report that the Mandal Commission used. Since then the only caste-based information in the census has been whether a family belongs to SC/ST or not.

  10. joeantony   March 31, 2009 at 7:57 am

Sunny : most of the middle class hindus are affected because of the reservations given to muslims n christains in educational institutions

Not TRUE. there is NO reservation in india on religious basis, it only on caste basis. However, the institutions run by minorities are free to accommodate staff and the students as they wish, and recently government has taken 35% (not sure of the accuracy) of the seats in professional education to be filled by general quota system by merit by government.

Muslim education rate in india is really poor compared to christians and hindus. As christian missionaries run lot of education institutes they accommodate almost all the chirstians and not to forget that, that number would be still less than the non-christians they educate alongside in their institutions.

  11. satya   March 31, 2009 at 10:38 am

They should totally revise this quota system. reservations for Caste or religion has to be removed and they should introduce quota only for “Economically weaker section” irrespective of religion.

But i dont think that will ever happen in india as indian politics is nothing but caste based politics.

he got what he wanted.. cheap publicity with his target group.. the hindu fanatics. he apparently doesn’t have high ambitions. kazhisada!

amusing Vijay link… looks like he is on the verge of becoming another Indian dad on a children killing spree.

Awesome…. I was just about to ask you to tear open this Varun dumbass and this post comes in as a pleasant surprise!!

  14. joeantony   April 1, 2009 at 2:17 am

Today’s Headline… Dawood gang targets Varun, one of the two sharp shooters hired by chota shakeel is arrested in karnataka (other is on the run), varun is moved to a fortified jail.

So after release, Varun, will become one of those 30 people who are protected by the elite force of NSG. In india getting this protection is considered as a status symbol… he got what he wanted.

  15. joeantony   April 1, 2009 at 2:25 am

I think SI should bring out a seperate post on that vijay link… its funny to see him shouting ‘engiipeesu’

@ sugat123: Srinivas reminds me of Squealer from Animal Farm (George Orwell) . He defends actions of mass murderers like Modi, Pragya Thakur et al and tells us to join under BJP.

Well those who dont agree with me defend actions of mass murders like “Muslims” – and I am with people who are ready to taken on these mass murderers……

  17. SRINIVAS   April 1, 2009 at 7:53 am

SI :Stop parroting the point that it has not been proved.

Can a opinion/statement by EC be taken as conclusive evidence …..the court has released him on bail ….since NSA has been slapped ….he is still in jail …..

Without any basis ….assertions are made …a nuetral party like the judiciary will decide ……and not Mayawati / Congress or Search India

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

A decision by an institution like a Court or EC is not opinion – More like a ruling because it’s supposed to come after careful examination/consideration of the facts.

  18. SRINIVAS   April 2, 2009 at 8:07 am

SI :A decision by an institution like a Court or EC is not opinion – More like a ruling because it’s supposed to come after careful examination/consideration of the facts.

EC has already said that the onus of proving that the CD is tampered lies with Varun Gandhi and not with them ….so without any examination / consideration of facts ……they are going by what they have with them …..hence its a opinion ….

you will not investigate ….but pronounce a judgement ???

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    The EC said:

The commission has seen the CD, not once but several times repeatedly, and is fully convinced and satisfied that the CD has not been tampered with, doctored or morphed, as alleged by the respondent.

So it does not look like the EC put out a casual opinion.
