From the shapely bottom, curvilicious figure and perky tits of our pretty desi waitress encased in tight, faded blue jeans and dark blue T-shirt to the lip-smacking Rasam, sui generis Avial and sweet delight Payasam, there was a lot we liked about Sukh Sagar Indian restaurant on Stelton Road in Piscataway (New Jersey).

Sure, there were also some things we disliked about Sukh Sagar like the lousy Samosa or the blithering idiot Srinivas Poojari (manager/owner??) who blabbered proudly that since Rasmalais are made locally i.e. on the premise, they add less sugar.

What did you say, moron? You add less than required sugar to the desserts because you make them on the premises. Are you a complete retard? Srinivas, please do not respond because that’s a rhetorical question.

In a gloomy mood after our Kambakkht ‘sick garbage’ Ishq mishap, we were craving some relief for all our senses.

As we stepped into the Sukh Sagar restaurant and our sights fell on the desi waitress, we felt like breaking into the Eureka song a la Chiranjeevi in the Telugu film Abhilasha.

Alas, restraint is our first, middle and last name. So we quietly fastened our derriere to the chair and turned our attention from the dark damsel to the menu card.

All ye carnivores, pay heed. Sukh Sagar is a vegetarian restaurant with mostly South Indian items. So if you have any notions of crunching into the ugly red-colored Tandoori Chicken that’s a staple of most NJ Indian restaurants, banish all such heretical thoughts here. Continue reading »

New York is kaput.

Not the city, idiot.

We mean, the crappy John Abraham, Katrina Kaif Bollywood movie.

New York movie has run out of oxygen and is gasping for breath.

Now, don’t tell us you expected something different.

In the second weekend at the U.S. box office, New York came in at No-27 with a total gross of a measly $148,470 and average gross of $3,030.

Here’s how New York fared compared to a few other prominent Bollywood movies in the second weekend at the U.S. box office:

Besides beaing a mediocre movie, New York also had to contend with Akshay Kumar’s Kambakkht Ishq, which debuted here on July 3. Continue reading »

Kambakkht Trash Crashes 55%

Folks, for all the noise and all the hype, Bollywood King of Garbage Akshay Kumar’s sick disgrace of a film Kambakkht Ishq has not fared well repeat Kambakkht Ishq has not fared well in its opening July 4 weekend at the U.S. box office.

Kambakkht Ishq had a total gross of $768,542 and an average gross of $7,685.

* Folks, remember it was the July 4 holiday weekend in the U.S.

* Folks, remember Kambakkht Ishq was the first Big-Star movie after a famine caused by the multiplex strike.

* Folks, remember Kambakkht Ishq released in 100 theatres here.

* Folks, remember Kambakkht Ishq had a huge hype build-up before it arrived.

Yet, Kambakkht Ishq could manage an opening gross of only $768,542 and an average gross of just $7,685.

What a fu**ing disgrace.

But then Kambakkht Ishq is a shitty movie.

Forget Hrithik Roshan or Shahrukh Khan. Even Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna’s Race did better than Kambakkht Ishq, both in total gross and average gross (please see table below).

Hey, that little twit Abhishek Bachchan’s crap shows Dostana and Sarkar Raj had a higher average gross per theatre compared to Kambakkht Ishq.
