And pray what is this Panchyagavvya Ghrut?

Oh, that’s a mixture including cow urine, dung, curd, milk and ghee. Sounds yummy, na?

Here’s an excerpt from the Bloomberg story:

Our medicines are effective against chronic illnesses such as tuberculosis and blood pressure and will strengthen the immunity of a person,” said Gopal Vohra, a vaidya, or Ayurvedic doctor, at Go-Vigyan Kendra. He said Panchyagavvya Ghrut, a mixture that includes cow urine, dung, curd, milk and ghee are among treatments by the group that can prevent the flu.

We must confess that we too are guilty of this unhealthy practice (but stopped lately out of fear of an accident and the lurking cops).

But it’s all your fault. ;)

You see if you hadn’t posted a comment we wouldn’t have checked our iPhone while driving.

Wonder what excuse all the others have.

Majority Intexticated
A recent survey by online automotive community CarGurus has found that a majority of drivers had used a cell phone to read/write e-mail or text while driving in the last 12 months.

In the CarGurus poll, over half of respondents (52%) fessed up to using a cell phone to read/write email or text while driving in the last one year.

CarGurus cited a July 2009 Virginia Tech Transportation Institute study that truck drivers face a 23 times higher risk of a crash or near crash while texting than when not doing so.

Highlighting the growing concern over the dangers of using cell phones to read/write e-mail or text when driving, the U.S. Senate last month proposed a bill (ALERT ACT) that would ban truck and car drivers from texting or e-mailing while driving.

Some 14 states already prohibit texting while driving.
