Scared of Swine Flue? Try Panchyagavvya Ghrut

All ye desi chickens scared of Swine Flu.

Take heart.

Help is at hand. Closer than you think.

India’s Go-Vigyan Kendra has a remedy in Panchyagavvya Ghrut.

And pray what is this Panchyagavvya Ghrut?

Oh, that’s a mixture including cow urine, dung, curd, milk and ghee. Sounds yummy, na?

Here’s an excerpt from the Bloomberg story:

Our medicines are effective against chronic illnesses such as tuberculosis and blood pressure and will strengthen the immunity of a person,รขโ‚ฌย said Gopal Vohra, a vaidya, or Ayurvedic doctor, at Go-Vigyan Kendra. He said Panchyagavvya Ghrut, a mixture that includes cow urine, dung, curd, milk and ghee are among treatments by the group that can prevent the flu.

We don’t know about you.

But we’ll take our chances with the Swine Flu given the scarier alternative of cow urine and dung.

BTW, there’s been some talk in the family that as a child in the distant past some cow p*** may have been sprinkled over our head.

We assure you that those rumors are completely unfounded. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sad but such is life or the slow ebbing of it.

We’ve seen Lisa Ray in Deepa Mehta’s Water.

they claim they have scientific studies to back up these claims ….people are buying and its seems to be effective from the feedback one gets …..atleast no side effects whatsoever …

However i fail to understand the problem with “cow’s urine” …..considering that a non-vegetarian eats virtually everything …is that less dirty / revolting than cow’s urine or cow dung mixed in medicines ? ….

At the end of the day ….animal extracts are a part of many medicines …and also many food items …

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

We’re unaware of scientific studies (real ones, we mean) finding healing properties in urine or dung.
