Quote of the Day – Sallie Bingham

You can’t sing to the flower without including the bud and stem and the root, even the mud around it, too.

Not going for ‘The Dirty Picture’?

Apparently Vidya Balan has thrown in a superb performance.

I tried in weekend but all shows were full πŸ™

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    1. No, we’ve seen enough Dirty Pictures, most of them dirtier than Vidya Balan! πŸ˜‰

    2. You write: Apparently Vidya Balan has thrown in a superb performance.

Well, in Incredible India if a star flaunts her tits it’s labelled a good performance.

God knows what you people will say when she goes full monty! You’ll probably hand her the Dada Saheb Phalke Award!

“Well, in Incredible India if a star flaunts her tits it’s labelled a good performance”

      Ass too. πŸ˜›

But this is Vidya Balan we’re talking about here. She’s one person who can deliver the acting goods. So, it finally looks like SI is sick of watching crap Indian film makers dish out in the name of movies.

Watched Minority Report yet? Watch it when you get the time.

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

True, Vidya Balan is one of the better ones.

Hey I was going to ask SI the same question as shadowfax πŸ™‚

I was eager to read your review on that movie.

Nowadays are you very busy SI as less article are posted by you for some days?? πŸ˜›

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    No, very less busy! πŸ˜‰

      Off topic:

Have you seen these 4 national award winning Tamil films such as Mahanadi, Anjali, Mouna Ragam and Thiruda Thiruda??

What are your views on them πŸ˜‰

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

Off-hand, we can’t remember the details.

In any case, National Awards mean nothing in Incredible India.

      • Hari Jr   December 6, 2011 at 8:34 am

Yes you are right as national awards were given to emetics like Priyanka Chopra for movies like Fashion & even for Vaaranam Aayiram!!

But the above mentioned movies are good specially Anjali, Mahanadi & Mouna Ragam. (No idea about Thiruda Thiruda but its music is just heavenly)

If you get time, please do watch Anjali & Mahanadi they are tragic classics and I believe you would find favour with them!! And if possible, give your review or even an opinion would do as I believe some Tamil movies had offbeat stories and a class atleast in the early 80-90’s with very good music!!

It’s my humble request to SI!! πŸ™‚

        SearchIndia.com Responds:

        Sweetie, we checked yesterday.

Netflix doesn’t have any of them & it’s hard to get the old movies here.

        • Hari Jr   December 6, 2011 at 9:39 am

          Ok fine SI.

If by chance you get rental DVDs, please watch it!! πŸ™‚

          Have a nice day SI!!

          SearchIndia.com Responds:

It’s unlikely they’ll be available elsewhere too.

We’ll see if we can get them when someone is visiting from India.

          • Hari Jr   December 6, 2011 at 9:45 am

And are these Korean movies like The Chaser, The Yellow Sea, etc. high budget movies or it has the same budget of most Indian movies??

If not high budget, then why can’t our Indians make better movies with such a huge population when South Korea won’t have a population of even a Maharashtra or Tamil Nadu?? πŸ™

            SearchIndia.com Responds:

Chaser was a low budget movie.

But Yellow Sea’s cost was higher at $10.7 million. Comparable to a Bollywood movie featuring a big-name star like a Khan or Kumar.

Here is the update on Aakash just in case you were worried about its progress πŸ˜‰

    http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tech/news/hardware/Cheapest-tablet-Aakash-delayed-Report/articleshow/10993590.cms

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Aakash has as much chance of succeeding as Abhishek Bachchan, Trisha, Priyanka Chopra and Nayantara have of learning the rudiments of acting in five lifetimes!

In short – ZERO or as the Indian chutiyas say Jeero.

I thought SI would find this interesting…

    http://www.rediff.com/news/report/harvard-snubs-subramanian-swamy/20111208.htm

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

While all religions are nonsense in our not-so-humble opinion, we find it mystifying that there’re no protests over the absence of Hindu temples/refusal to permit construction of Hindu temples in Islamic nations.

Bottom line, Hindu idiots get a disproportionate, visceral reaction to the intolerant nonsense they spout compared to the discriminatory policies espoused or practiced by the Islamic dolts on a day-to-day basis!

This means Intolerance and Hate toward other communities is acceptable to the ‘intellectuals’ as long as it’s practiced on a daily basis.

It’s a weird world we live in.
