All the Best Review – Billion Times Better than Blue

All the Worst for All the Best at Box Office

Life is strange.

All the Best was our last choice of the three films we watched yesterday (the other two were Blue and Aadhavan).

Ironically, it turned out to be the best of the lot.

Most definitely not a great movie but a watchable comedy with lots of laughs. And after watching Trash King Akshay Kumar’s Blue, we were certainly in need of some cheering.

Simple Logic
If a movie featuring two of the worst actors in the Milky Way galaxy (Fardeen Khan and Bipasha Basu) can raise a lot of laughs, surely it can’t be a bad film.

Like a lot of good comedies, All the Best is completely zany at times.

Just in case you are one of those schmucks who can’t find your way out a paper bag, the movie features Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Johny Lever, Mughda Godse and Bipasha Basu.

Prem Chopra (Ajay Devgn) and Veer (Fardeen Khan) are close buddies, whose lives get complicated by the unanticipated arrival of Veer’s NRI elder brother Dharam Kapoor (Sanjay Dutt).

You see the toughie businessman Dharam Kapoor has been supporting his younger brother Veer, who’s lied to Bade Bhaiya that he’s married to obtain a handsome monthly retainer.

To make a complicated situation more complicated, you have other interesting characters like the mute thug Tobu (Johny Lever), the maid-servant Mary (Ashwini Kalsekar) and the renter Raghunandandas Govardhandas Vakawle (Sanjay Mishra).

And their lives keep intersecting in the weirdest ways.

Bipasha Basu is as bad as ever but Fardeen Khan is tolerable for once. Maybe, comedy is Fardeen’s real metier.

The script is decent, the characters well fleshed out and the dialogs hilarious.

Kudos to director Rohit Shetty and producer Ajay Devgn for delivering a decent entertainer in All the Best.

strange…..like you said, I was also expecting All the Best to be the worst of the lot.

Wasn’t planning on any movies this Diwali, I guess this changes plans.

How was Sanjay and Ajay in the movie? Both have been in terrible form lately.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn were alright here but the superstar of All the Best is the hilarious script.

As we suggested earlier, anyone who can make the audience laugh in a movie featuring bozos like Bipasha Basu and Fardeen Khan is a frigging genius.

All the Best is most certainly worth a watch in the theatre.

    Go for it. 🙂

might end up being the Dark horse 😉 of the season, as the other Biggie Main aur Mrs.Khanna too is reportedly a disappointment.

We certainly hope All the Best fares well at the Box Office. It deserves to do well.

Salman Khan is another overrated bozo with a bunch of fawning fan-boys. His previous film Wanted was garbage.

agree both movies (blue and aadhavan) are crap movies
which is the most crappier among the two.

i mean just unwatchable, awful to the core

cos the ticket prices are very high here in the range of 100 and 120 for both the movies even in “Dabba” theatres

Aadhavan is definitely the crappier of the two.

There’s a certain degree of slickness even in a bad Bollywood movie.

Well, the collections of All the Best in India have picked up and started grossing more than Blue, since Monday.

And considering the budget is much lesser than Blue and the word-of-mouth even more better,All The Best may surely earn the ‘Superhit’ tag in 2 weeks. 🙂

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

As they (perhaps) say in AP, All the Best okka sari chudachu andi (worth watching once). 😉
