Nenu Naa Rakshasi Review – God Hates Telugus

Tis’ true that God hates all Indians.

But God has reserved his most potent fury and venom for the Telugu peoples by depriving them of the gene that appreciates or discerns those beautiful things known as art, class and culture.

If class came and slapped Telugus hard on the face, those crass jackasses wouldn’t recognize it!

And if you want to know how we came to that depressing conclusion, it’s after watching the premiere show of Nenu Naa Rakshasi a short while ago at a theater on the U.S. East Coast.

Asinine Story

Only in a Telugu film would you find the heroine in the end going to prison for 18 months for merely uploading YouTube videos of people committing suicide while her boyfriend, a hired killer with several scalps to his credit/discredit, is gallivanting around town on his bike killing more people.

Only in a Telugu film would you find a hideous crass comedy track with absolutely no relation to the main story and featuring a Black Amazon raping a male Telugu comedian in Venice and declaring she’s pregnant the next morning. (And the comedian wears her mammoth pink panties as a badge of honor.) ๐Ÿ™

Only in a Telugu film would you find the lead pair (Rana Daggupati and Ileana D’Cruz) completely clueless about acting and utterly hopeless at dancing.

Only in a Telugu film would you find an incompetent director Puri Jagannadh who dares to put his finger into multiple pies (story, screenplay, dialog and direction) and does a hopelessly bad job at all of them.

Only in a Telugu film would we have five-year-old kids behaving like adults and pontificating on Love and other grownup subjects while adults go around behaving like five-year-olds.

Only a crappy Telugu film would attract a crowd of 70+ Donga Mundas (the hero uses this ‘sweet’ expression for his love interest in the film).

If you insist on knowing the outline of the story, it’s about a hired killer falling in love with a young girl who keeps video-taping suicides and uploading them to YouTube.

Of course, if there was all to it the movie might even be watchable but there’s a lot of garbage in-between that have no connection to the main story.

Rana, Ileana Can’t Act

Neither Rana Daggupati nor that anorexic Goan girl Ileana D’Cruz have the faintest notion of what acting is.

Rana Daggupati thinks staring or slapping girls hard with a stern expression and declaring undying love is acting while Ileana D’Cruz labors under the delusion that putting on an expressionless face is the acme of acting.

True, it’s their fault but what is this clown Puri Jagannadh doing.

As director, it’s Jagannadh’s job to extract performances from his stars.

But then that Jagannadh joker probably knows as much about the craft of movie-making as you schmucks do about the theory of Relativity.

Uglier the Better

We weren’t thrilled with any of the songs and doubt they have any longevity.

Considering Telugu films are made by jackasses for jackasses, Nenu Naa Rakshashi will probably find favor with the target audience given its garish title, tawdry scenes, unendurable ‘comedy’ and crappy storyline.

Guess it won’t be long before the sequel arrives (2012?) bearing an equally malodorous title like Nuve Naa Pisachi.

    LMAO about your review.

If there’s one film industry which is worse than even those shitty Tamil movie industry which produces some unwatchable garbage, it’s the Telugu film industry which gives some horrendous nightmares.

“If there’s one film industry which is worse than even those shitty Tamil movie industry which produces some unwatchable garbage, it’s the Telugu film industry which gives some horrendous nightmares.”

Logu dude, calm down. What about main stream Kannada or Gujarati or Oriya movies ? They don’t even have the
technology or the budget to come with those movies.

The one thing that worries me the most is, Telugu Film Industry has excellent (best in India, I mean) technology to make
wonderful movie. May be graphics (FireFly) or Studios or whatever. But they use those technology to make mind
bogglingly asinine movies, that it will take only people whose brains are surgically operated to densely fill it with the brains of all mental patients, to MAKE and WATCH them.

I look at the fight sequences and camera angles in Telugu movies. They are up to the standards, but if you see the dialogue, plot or acting? My ass a 6 year old American can do better than all of those.

In other industries, at least in kannada (they have Girish Kasaravelli) or small movies in Tamil (Paruthiveeran) or Hindi
are doing well. Such is the state of Telugu movies, I don’t know when will these people realize that they are making, watching, eating and drinking Garbage.

    Meh

Exactly you’re conveying the same.I should have framed it in a descending order of the worst between the three Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. In India when we consider movie industry, its mainly restricted to Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu and in that three Tamil and Telugu produce maximum garbages, though Tamil is slightly ahead because of movies like Paruthveeran, Aayirathil Oruvan, Naan Mahan Alla and they have some passable actors like Karthi, Prasanna, Vikram (with the exception of his bheema, kandhasami) In Telugu, none comes up to mind when you talk about some serious acting stuff.

Of course Kannada and Bengali film sectors might have some good actors, but because their whole industry is out of limelight they don’t come into prominence quite often. Seriously, how many of these films makes it across the border and how many NRIs watch these films?? The proportion is quite low compared to other three.

Even Malayalam don’t make it to U.S. theaters often. Only Hindi, Tamil & Telugu movies release here with monotonous regularity.

Now to cleanse yourself after watching a bad movie, you should watch one of these
    “Judgement at Nuremberg”
    “Goodfellas”
    “The bucket list”
    “V for Vendetta”

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Will watch a nice movie today & review it hopefully later tonight.

    Absolutely not.

Offtopic: Kanimozhi, karuna & Raja have denied to disclose information regarding their IT returns under RTI act.

Right to Information does not give a Right to Hide right..?

Headlines Today predicts DMK would win marginally, and whole of TN predicts them to lose. Karuna said in an interview yesterday to HT that he would start believing in pre-poll predictions if they win this time.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    1. Aren’t personal IT returns private stuff?

But we do hope the Headlines Today poll is wrong.

    2. If Karunanidhi loses, we’ll start believing in God again. Maybe, we’ll even go to Flushing Ganesh Temple (NYC) and break a coconut there. ๐Ÿ˜‰
