Ek Hasina Thi
Reviewer's Summary - Interesting

Language: Hindi
Year: 2004
Actors: Urmila Matondkar, Saif Ali Khan
Director: Sriram Raghavan
Producer: Ram Gopal Varma
Written by Pooja Ladha Surti

As a woman wronged - and wronged very badly - Urmila Matondkar brings a feral energy as the avenging woman to Ek Hasina Thi.

Urmila is Sarika, a travel agent who commits the mistake of falling in love with the slimy Karan (Saif Ali Khan) without realizing that he is connected to the underworld.

One day Karan asks Sarika to get rid of a suitcase that his associate has left with her. She gets caught by the police while trying to dump the suitcase, which contains guns used in criminal activities.

Callously Karan and his crooked lawyer make Sarika take the blame and she is sentenced to seven years in jail.

Prison life hardens Sarika and she plots to take revenge on all those who wronged her including the wily lawyer. She escapes from prison and hunts down those who wronged her.

But the cruelest punishment Sarika metes out to Karan in a chilling ending.

This fast paced movie is one of the few Bollywood movies that does not leave you praying for a quick ending. - Copyright SearchIndia.com.
