Gosh, this pathetic movie should never have seen the light of the day.

A single word defines this love story starring Tusshar Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor - Crude.

Besides suffering from a hopeless script, Jeene Sirf Mere Liye comes with the handicap of poor acting in the form of Tusshar Kapoor. The lad needs to get back to acting school. Pronto.

Kareena Kapoor is a little better in the acting department but not by a whole lot.

Poor orphan boy Karan and rich girl Pinky a.k.a Puja are young kids, who meet every year when Pinky comes to the hill station on vacation. Pinky's status-conscious father (Vijayendra Ghatge) cannot stomach the kids' friendship and on occasion even gets the young boy thrashed. But the two kids are fond of each other and promise eternal friendship. However, they part when Pinky stops coming to the hill station.

Their separation only intensifies their affection for each other, which turns into love as they get older. Meanwhile, Karan is adopted by the kind hearted Mahendra Malhotra (Kader Khan).

Although many years have gone by since they last met, the grown up Pinky (Kareena Kapoor) and Karan (Tusshar Kapoor) are mooning about each other when they are not prancing about like monkeys in heat.

Pinky returns to Mumbai after completing her studies at Oxford University while Karan manages a musical instruments store in the same city.

Upon returning to Mumbai, Pinky's first order of business is to start searching for Karan. She soon finds Karan but on hearing that he's now someone else's boy friend decides to go abroad again.

But then she realizes that Karan really does not have any girlfriend and is still besotted with her.

Pinky's father, however, is unhappy with her choice and throws the spanner in the works.

Do the two sweethearts finally get to unite?

Tusshar Kapoor is the son of yesteryear star Jeetendra (a.k.a Jumping Jack for his prancing antics on screen) while Kareena is the daughter of film stars Randhir Kapoor and Babita.

The songs in Jeene Sirf Mere Liye are mediocre. It's not likely that you'll remember any of them by the time you step out of the hall.

If there is a saving grace in Jeene Sirf Mere Liye, it comes in the form of the scantily clad Mallika Sherawat, who makes her debut in this movie as a TV reporter. - Copyright SearchIndia.com.
