Even two Kajols cannot salvage this dud inspired by that old Hollywood hit The Parent Trap (1961).

What can you say about a movie where you have Kajol driving a tank - yes, an army tank - to crush a Mercedes belonging to three goons who habitually shoplift things from her mom's grocery store in England? In short, utter nonsense.

Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi features Kajol as the twins Tina and Sweety, who are separated at birth when her parents Raj Khanna (Rishi Kapoor) and Archana Khanna (Rati Agnihotri) part ways because of the machinations of Raj's step sister Devyani (Mita Vasisht).

Tina is brought up by her mother in England while Sweety is with her father in India.

For 22 years, the twins grow up unaware of each other's existence. Chance brings them together in England and they plot to unite their parents setting in motion a ridiculous train of events.

The poor story line leaves just no hope for this zany movie.

Kajol and Rati Agnihotri are alright. As the alcoholic father forever in a stupor, Rishi Kapoor is so-so. Suniel Shetty has a marginal role as the lover of one of the Kajols.

The music is as ridiculous as the rest of this assinine film.

Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi demonstrates that talent is the last thing you need in Bollywood to make movies. - Copyright SearchIndia.com.
