Director: Anil Devgan
Written by: Robin Bhatt, Javed Siddiqui
Producer: Shyam Bajaj, Narendra Bajaj

A so-so film despite the presence of top stars.

Ex-convict Shekhar (Ajay Devgan) bears a deep grudge against Assistant Commssioner of Police Abhay Rathod (Suniel Shetty) for throwing him in jail for eight years and indirectly causing his wife's death at a rail-road crossing during the chase that led to his arrest.

After his release from prison, Shekhar kidnaps Abhay's son and the movie starts careening downhill completely.

Blackmail's weakness, like that of most Bollywood films, is that a banal and weak story gets progressively weaker.

While Ajay Devgan, Suniel Shetty and Diya Mirza are adequate in their respective roles, Priyanka Chopra comes across as being completely unschooled in the basics of acting. Her acting is stilted and artificial but mercifully she has only a limited role in this unimpressive film.
