Dharavi Slum, Mumbai
Asia's largest slum, Dharavi, is spread over an area of 1.75 kms along the Mahim river in central Mumbai.

Most of the one million inhabitants of Dharavi are Tamil migrants who migrated to Mumbai in search of employment. Home to a flourishing leather industry, Dharavi lacks basic infrastructure facilities like sanitation and health care.
