If Sathum Podathey is here, then Johnny Gaddaar should definitely be listed here. Sathum wasn’t as taut as JG.

Yes, we were thinking of the same point in the wee hours before the Goddess of Sleep pulled us in. Fixed now.

these r some of my favorites

In your above list, we’ve seen Jab We Met, Vivah and Swades. Vivah, we consider junk and the other two are by no means outstanding. We liked Gayathri (of Swades) though.

Just checked the Wiki profile of Dor. Seems interesting.

    Decent list!

    But you liked Anniyan?

Sad that Pokiri is missing in your list of favorites!! 😉

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

As we wrote recently, some of the Indian movies we’ve ‘enjoyed’ in the past may not meet with our seal of approval now.

Anniyan? We have to rewatch it to see how we feel now.

Quite agreed SI ! Just was trying to pull your legs 😉

Was planning to ship you some movies such as Kalavani, ParuthiVeeran, etc from here.

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

Actually, we’re looking for this buffoon’s movies. 😉

You should have mentioned many other movies too.

How about Satya, A Wednesday, 12 Angry Men, Up in the air, City of God (if Slumdog is in your list, this must be there), Cinema Paradiso, Tell no one, District 9, Crash, Secret in their eyes, In Bruges, Manorama six feet under, Philadephia, Social Network, Kick-Ass, Mumbai meri jaan…

If Anniyan, Casablanca (somehow I did not enjoy it enough to make the top. Over expectations may be.), Bobby, Dilwale .., Hum apke.. , Kaakha kaakha, koi mil gaya???? are in the list, many if not all of the above should be in the list.

Since these are your favourites, you may not have liked it enough to make it to the list. Above ones are in my list. 😉

Most of the movies you mention above have been reviewed on the SI blog.

The list was done at a point in time. May not be valid any longer. We’ll revise it one of these days.
