Alexandra Byrne, costume designer for Shekhar Kapur’s Elizabeth: The Golden Age won the first Oscar at the 80th Annual Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles Sunday evening for Best Costume Design.
Alexandra Byrne was also the costume designer for Shekhar Kapur’s previous movie Elizabeth.
