Bad Weather Ahead for Aadhavan

Folks, rain has been forecast for many parts of the Northeast (in the U.S.) tomorrow.

So, in case you are thinking of watching Aadhavan, you might want to reconsider your plans.

Not just tomorrow, guys. The weatherman is predicting rain for the whole weekend.

Don’t say we didn’t warn you if you have an accident in the rain and total your car, all because you wanted to watch two clowns being true to their selves.

You do know that driving in bad weather is dangerous, right?

In any case, given recent history a movie featuring Nayantara and/or Surya is not likely to provide much by way of entertainment value.

BTW, is the bad weather a veiled warning from the Gods on the fate of Aadhavan?

Watch this space. 😉

I guess it’ll be NO different.

The movie may be entertaining, because of the director K.S.Ravikumar. But, ….

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Raining since morning.

    Doubt there’ll be a crowd.

Flash-flood warnings have already been put out for some parts of NJ.

Heard that Documentary “Taxi to the Dark Side” is good. Have you watched it?

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    No. Looks interesting.

The only ‘Taxi’ film we’ve watched is the Robert Di Nero-Jodie Foster film Taxi Driver.

Another ‘Taxi’ film worth watching is Ramin Bahrani’s Goodye Solo about a Senegalese cab driver. Has been on our list for a while now… plan to see it soon.

    We’ve seen Bahrani’s Chop Shop.

Wait. We also like the film Jamie Foxx-Tom Cruise film Collateral (2004) in which Jamie Foxx plays a cab driver and Tom Cruise a contract killer.

Collateral was remade in Bollywood as Killer (Imran Hashmi and Irrfan Khan).

Try watching it. It is an academy award-winning documentary, focuses on the murder of a Afghan taxi driver in US, who is considered to be having terrorist links. [This is what I heard].

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

We’ll watch Taxi to the Dark Side for sure. Just added to Netflix queue.

BTW, we’ve read about the Afghan taxi driver who died. Was covered widely in the New York Times. Sad.

Thanks for this good news 😉

Hope it rains for for more than a week. 😀

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

If it continues to rain tomorrow, we might skip Aadhavan and watch it on Sat or Sun depending on the weather. It’s a real pain to drive when it rains.

It rained more or less for the whole day today.

U should watch even if it rains, u r the saviour man . please Understand. 🙂

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write: u r the saviour

    Ha ha ha.

Let’s see. If it continues to rain, then Sat or Sun.

its not raining here in london
and remember, its diwali weekend, so people are bound to go and see the movie, no matter what weather

btw, are you gonna review peranmai (with jeyam ravi and 5 new grils)
    its releasing today…

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    1. You write: so people are bound to go and see the movie, no matter what weather

We doubt our Tamils are that stupid.

Surya’s last few movies were all garbage.

So we have little expectations from this latest one. To make matters worse, there is the presence of that worthless ‘actress’ Nayantara.

    2. Peranmai?

Does anybody give a flying f**k for that joker Jeyam Ravi?

Reviews are out for aadhavan . People in Swiss , Newzealand have watched the movie .

    Movie is a 3:15hr torture movie 😀

It seems Surya has failed again in yet another film.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Why are we not surprised to hear that Aadhavan is crap?

We are thinking of skipping Aadhavan.

    Consider this:

Surya can’t act (maybe with the exception of Kaakha Kaakha).

Surya’s father Sivakumar couldn’t act (Look at Sivakumar making a monkey of itself in this video).

    Surya’s wife Jyothika couldn’t act.

Not being able to act is an inglorious tradition of Sivakumar’s family.

Wait. We haven’t seen Karthik’s movie. Maybe, he’s an aberration.

  8. arshad2   October 16, 2009 at 8:09 am

karhtik done a good job in Paruthu veeran. Better than his brother Surya.

BTW, don’t skip the movie plz.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Parkalam (we’ll see).

Paavam Sivakumar, a moment(or ~ 4 minutes) of indiscretion is etched on the internet forever 🙂 I have seen him in person(and he wasn’t dancing like this then).. pal of a close relative.. very modest person.. and a wonderful artist.. I may have mentioned the above bit already.. but I can’t stop myself from bragging about my brush with semi-celebrity.

    SearchIndia.com Responds (via iPhone):

Sivakumar should have stuck to his original passion – painting. 🙁

  10. arshad2   October 16, 2009 at 11:46 am

innum show ku kelambulaiya (are u going to watch today or not ?)

    SearchIndia.com Responds:
