It’s a safe bet that of the numerous manias running amok in the English language all ye lascivious schmucks have only heard of Nymphomania. 
But there are lots of other ‘manias‘ out there.
Here’s a short list of some manias you probably won’t recognize:
* Bruxomania – Practice of grinding one’s teeth.
* Oniomania – Uncontrollable urge to buy things.
* Empleomania – Obsession to hold public office
* Trichotillomania – Insane desire to pluck one’s hair
* Arithmomania – Fixation with numbers
And now for our favorite mania:
* Peotillomania – Nervous disorder characterized by constant pulling on the penis.
