Music We’ve Acquired Lately 6

The music never stops here these days.

Here’s a short list of some of what we’ve purchased lately:

* Crush – Jenifer Paige’s biggest hit has been a favorite of ours for a long time.

It’s just a little crush (crush)
Not like I faint every time we touch
It’s just some little thing (crush)
Not like everything I do depends on you
Sha-la-la-la, Sha-la-la-la …..

* Hum Tum Eku Kamre – Easily, one of the most popular Bollywood songs ever.

Picturized on Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia, this famous number from the movie Bobby is sung by Shailendra Singh and Lata Mangeshkar.

* Smack That – We purchased Senegalese-American singer Akon’s popular number this morning at iTunes based onΒ SI blog reader chennaiarun2007’srecommendation. Mucho like.

Smack that, all on the floor
Smack that, give me some more
Smack that, ’til you get sore
Smack that, oh ooh

* Slumdog Millionaire: This time we purchased the entire CD ($9.99) a week or so back.

Since then, we musta listened to O Saya and Jai Ho a billion times.

Are you reading this, StryngLad? πŸ˜‰

* Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya: Karthik’s eponymous number from the Tamil movie. We purchased the track at iTunes a few hours back. As we said in our review, the movie is trash but the music is decent.

* Latoo (Hindi): A peppy number from the Bollywood ripoff of Memento. Shreya Ghosal, Pravin Mani and A.R.Rehman are the folks behind the song.

Yes, schmuck we’re talking of that piece of stolen shit Ghajini.

Smack that – I like Eminem interludes rather than the cliched Akon’s voice

I liked both original version (sung by Sukwinder singh ) and remix by PCD’s lead singer Nicole.

Anytime you enter my room nowadays, if my computer is turned on, I bet you hear this song from Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya. Husky Karthik’s adds beauty. More music with little lyrics. It turned out to be the background music of my surfing life lately.

Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya playing in the background. What a shame the movie turned out to be junk.

I never knew that Jenifer Paige was from Georgia….hmm i guess that makes two talented finds from my vicinity. The other being Julia Roberts!

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Lucky you.

Alas, the only notable people from our state are a confirmed idiot and an alleged pervert.

I thought that the alleged pervert was going to be Mr. Nookie.

Why “alleged” for Bradley.. he has videotaped himself!.. only heard of him today.

One of my co-workers.. he is a different state (haven’t even seen his face.. until recently.. on the internet).. is a registered sex offender (with minors). Florida seems to be ruthless (rightly so). but when we google his name.. BAM.. the first record that shows up is his mugshot in the Florida sex offender registry.

His offenses happened in ’79 and ’88..
He apparently moved to the state (let me not go into too much details) where the rules for sex offenders are less stringent (earlier records have been expunged??).. idiotic
These perverts cannot be fixed, I believe..

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

      1. You write: Why “alleged” for Bradley.. he has videotaped himself!

The doctor pleaded Not Guilty the other day.

      2. You write: only heard of him today

The biggest news here since we became the first state to ratify the constitution.

Mausam & Escape is also good from Slumdog – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwM0UKQnm9o

of topic, try watching Turtles Can Fly and Stoning of Soraya M. Both are available in Netflix Instant. TCF was amazing.. i still wonder how the director made those children to act. For people who go gaga about those ‘pasanga’ in Pasanga should watch this.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Yes, Mausam & Escape is good. Playing in the background now.

Will watch Turtles Can Fly and Stoning of Soraya M. soon. Added both to Instant queue.
