Reviewer's Summary - Disgustingly Bad Language: Tamil Year: 2006 Actors: Sasikanth, Reema Sen, Nasser, Devan Director: K.Ajay Kumar Music: Srilekha After all, it takes extraordinary effort to make a movie this bad. Maanavan is a movie bereft of any logic, sense or artistic elements. In short, Maanavan is what you'd expect if the escapees from the loony bin got together to make a movie. Featuring Sasikanth and Reema Sen in lead roles, Maanavan is yet another teenage romance film with a bad father and uncle combination thrown in for bad measure. With his antics on screen, Sasikanth proves beyond any shred of doubt that Man did indeed evolve from apes. What a horrible actor. Sasikanth's co-star Reema Sen is only a few notches better. We estimate that it'd take less than 30 seconds for the young lady to display the entire range of emotions in her repertoire. Saikanth's fight scenes are downright bizarre even by the hideous standards of Tamil movies. Maanavan's music is as bad as the rest of this horrid movie. Of all the songs in Maanavan, Mutham Thandalenna and Manasey Manasey do the least damage to the eardrums. Some parts of Maanavan appear to have been shot somewhere in Europe. - Copyright Rekha Inc.
