A small aircraft slammed into a seven-story building in Austin, Texas a short while ago leaving two people in the building unaccounted for.
Details are still sketchy but a big fire has broken out at the building.
The building is located adjacent to the local FBI office on a busy highway in Austin.
The building into which the pilot rammed the plane was an IRS office. Read more at the NYT.
The pilot is said to have stolen the plane from Georgetown airport (north of Austin) and crashed into the building intentionally. Prior to stealing the plane, he’s reported to have set fire to his house.
By the way, how easy is it to steal a plane?
The Homeland Security Department is saying the incident is not terrorism related.
