All hard-drives fail. Some hard-drives fail earlier than the others.
Most of us have precious and priceless memories on our laptop (we meant our laptop PC, not our bare laptop).
But few of us care to do frequent backups of the priceless images, movies, billets doux and drawings on our laptop. Again, we’re talking only of the laptop PC.
As a business, we’ve been backing up stuff for several years now.
At first, we used the Archos 20GB floppy drive-sized external drive.
Then we shifted to larger external drives like AcomData and Seagate.
Since 2006, however, we’ve migrated to the sleek and larger capacity Western Digital Passport external drives.
We started with one 250GB external drive and then purchased one more. But one of the WD 250GB drives went bad recently when we tried to stop a backup in progress.
So, today we rushed over to Best Buy and got ourselves a new 500GB Western Digital external drive for $119.99.
