Tamil IT Coolies Hop on to Sri Lankan Nonsense Train

After the clowns in the Tamil film industry, the software coolies in Tamil Nadu have jumped on the support-the-poor-suffering-Sri Lankan Tamils bandwagon.

The Hindu reports that hundreds of IT workers belonging to leading Indian software companies in Chennai have launched a campaign on Monday in support of Sri Lankan Tamils.

We wonder why the f*** these coolies are not asking for capture of LTTE terrorist leader Prabhakaran for his role in the assassination of former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Where are the protests and unnvrathams over the failure to nab the main terrorists responsible for Rajiv’s murder?

We’ve argued for long that the present agitations in Tamil Nadu to support the Sri Lankan Tamils is nothing but a ruse to enable LTTE to recharge their batteries (literally and figuratively) after their recent setbacks on the battlefield.

We don’t see any outrage at all in Tamil Nadu over the failure to capture that LTTE terrorist Prabhakaran. Those who fail to aggressively demand the capture of Prabhakaran for Rajiv’s murder are nothing but traitors.

India’s Central Government must invoke Article 356, forthwith dismiss Karunai-illada-Nidhi and impose President’s rule in Tamil Nadu.

This protest and unnvarutham (hunger strike drama) nonsense in Eelam oops Tamil Nadu has gone on for far too long.

Next thing you know, the Tamil Nadu police will start holding protest meetings and unnvaruthams for the sake of those poor-suffering Sri Lankan Tamils.

This is good news in the aspect of the IT guys getting in to act for some public cause. I have been thinking these guys never care about the society and just want too booze on friday nights and roam around with the gals..

Last election it was reported that 75% of IT crowd turned up for voting.. this is a good sign for India’s future that the youth and educated get in to public interest. I do appreciate them, will support them too.

Only sad part in this is, again there are some film actors seen in this 🙁 .

right thing to do ..pressure has to built up on the Indian Govt to act … Hopefully in the coming elections .. DMK or AIADMK would be in a better postion to exert more pressure on the central Govt ..

supplying arms to SL to kill our own people ????

    1. You write above: supplying arms to SL to kill our own people ????

When we went to bed last night, Sri Lankan people were not our own people. So, did India annex Sri Lanka while we were asleep?

    2. And by the way your our own people are really not our own people but just your own people who killed our own former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

There’s a fine article about the theory of De-stabilising if India by foreign powers via Sri Lankan tamil issue.

I could’nt believe that cold war still prevails and taking more tolls on through its ugly proxies still surviving in the remnants of it’s dismembered entity.

These guys who are in the TN Film industry are unknowledgeable gooks who don’t know why it happened and what is the root cause of all these ills.

Do they at least know or do some research into how it will affect the Indian nation???

Please read the article, you will know something, which many didn’t even realised it to be in this magnitude.

We are not sure about the role of the unnamed bureaucrats cited in the DK article you mention above but the anti- Indian foreign forces at work in SL’s war are most certainly the film clowns, IT coolies et al participating in the string of protests and sham unnavruthams in Tamil Nadu.

When ever the issue of sri lankan tamils comes up, esp supporting the srilankan ppl suffering there because of some fella’s chauvinism you guys brand it as support to LTTE…

I really don get your point here. Wat the LTTE did to our late prime minister was unforgivable but jus citin that as the reason to not support the cause of a multitude of ppl suffering in the Island nation is not fair.

Wat the politician didn in tamil nadu (Whether for their own cause or the cause of the ppl suffering/ lets forget the argument about that) has some wat unified the ppl of our country, where we have been tolerent toward deprivation of our own right (mild deprivation), to fight for the lives of ppl across the ocean. Lets hpe this support tranforms into some sort of actual help to the ppl suffering.

and motivated by that our ppl will have hope and unity in fighting other evil that haunt our own society..

And pls calling all the software professional as coolies, that not correct. Thats not how you address ppl who work their ass day and night for their families and their own personal satisfaction. Yes at times the are not able to express their opinion against the mangement (most of them), that doesn mean that they are being inanimate. they are just being tolerent so they dont upset their family and their loved ones. if you don understand that pls don comment on them. I too was as prejudiced as you. whn my friends tell their story about thou they don like their job why they have to keep it i saw thing differently..

ps: maybe this is your forum.. but its a public forum, so before writing something look at it from everybodies perspective. if you don do that this blog will have more mudslinging than anyother in the whole www.

Charity begins at home. There are millions of needy folk in India. The last time we checked people were still dying of starvation in India.

Yes because we don’t see the same aggresssive demand in Tamil Nadu for the arrest & trial of LTTE terrorist Prabhakaran for the murder of Rajiv Gandhi.

Is the suffering of some people in a foreign country more important than the murder of our leader at the hands of a foreign terrorist?

The present agitations, sham unnavruthams and protests in Tamil Nadu will do nothing but help LTTE.

SI : And by the way your our own people are really not our own people but just your own people who killed our own former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

Your statement reflects the divisive nature of Indian Thinking ..caste , religion , language comes first …then comes Nation … they are our own people because of their Ethnicity – Which is “People of Indian Origin”

Now apply your logic on people like you — You are an American now … so stop calling “our own” when it comes to anything Indian…

Anyway ..this blog has lot of negative news about my India …so not surprised by your statements ..

its precisely because of people like you that Indians in all parts of the world dont unite as Indians but as Punjabi Sikhs in Canada … Hindus in UK and then Sikhs in UK are seperate .. then there are Gujaratis ..Tamils .. so on and so forth ..

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    1. Ah, now you’ve stooped to giving us patriotic lectures.

When you are ready to demand Prabhakaran’s arrest for murdering our former PM Rajiv Gandhi, we’ll listen to your patriotic bashan (speeches)

    2. You write: You are an American now … so stop calling “our own” when it comes to anything Indian…

As we’ve said on earlier occasions, you can take the Indian out of India but you can’t take the India out of Indians.

Guess, it’s the same for other ethnic groups. Irish-Americans were big supporters of the IRA during the conflict years with British soldiers.

    3. True, Indians whether in India or outside are very divisive and find it almost impossible to work together.

Maybe, it’s something in their DNA. In the U.S., Gujaratis go to the Swaminarayan temple, South Indians to the Muruga, Lakshmi, Balaji, Ganesh temple …

  6. SRINIVAS   November 21, 2008 at 12:17 am

SI : As we’ve said on earlier occasions, you can take the Indian out of India but you can’t take the India out of Indians.

Guess, it’s the same for other ethnic groups. Irish-Americans were big supporters of the IRA during the conflict years with British soldiers.

And its the same for Ethnic groups like Tamils also … whether its Sri Lanka or Malaysia … they come to us for help …. This is precisely why Sri Lankan Tamils can be referred to as our People .

My “Our” refers to all Indians .. in this context its Tamils … Recently when Indians were targetted in UK / AMerica after 9/11 our govt spoke up for them .. When France banned Religious symbols … our govt spoke up for Sikhs .. When Hindus and Sikhs in Afghanistan face issues … Our Govt Intervenes ….How much of these results in actual change at the ground level is always debatable …but these efforts and initiative are neccessary for the simple reason that all these groups are targetted only because of thier ” Indian Orgin ” ….For a foreigner it does not matter whether you speak Tamil or Punjabi …its a Indian who fails to understand this … we fail to unite and support our kith and kin … unlike China or the Islamic World … and remain divided on the basis of Language …

No Patriotic lectures for you ..as you have claimed earlier that you are a American …(Hope Americans dont look at you at as a dirty Asian from a third world country)….that’s only for Indians .. the hard fact here is that .. when there is conflict of interest between India and America .. an Indian like me will support India .. While a Indo-American like you will support America …

For people like you ..its your interest which comes first … that’s very adequately reflected in all the negative articles in your blog about India .

The bottom line .. there is nothing wrong in a supporting the SL Tamils .. whether its done by Film stars , Govt or IT professionals .. they are our people and we will continue to support them …

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

We find it odd that there’s so much voiciferous support for Sri Lankan Tamils in Tamil Nadu but few in the state dare to call for the arrest and trial of Prabhakaran for the murder of Rajiv Gandhi.

We’ve said that a million times and we’ll say it again. Tamils in Tamil Nadu are supporting LTTE under the guise of assisting SL Tamils.

  7. SRINIVAS   November 23, 2008 at 11:43 am

    SI :

We find it odd that there’s so much voiciferous support for Sri Lankan Tamils in Tamil Nadu but few in the state dare to call for the arrest and trial of Prabhakaran for the murder of Rajiv Gandhi.

This allegation of yours has become monotonous … the killers were apprehended by a Tamil CBI officer – Karthikeyan …he has also managed to get them convicted …there were enough people asking for the arrest of Prabhakaran at that time ….CM Jayalaitha got tough and made it difficult for the LTTE to operate from TN … now its nearly 17 yrs ….are people expected to keep saying this as a yearly ritual …he is right now somewhere in the Jungles … go and get him if you can …. The General Tamil population can’t be blamed for Rajiv’s Death … LTTE didn’t consult or conspire with them …

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    1. You write: the killers were apprehended by a Tamil CBI officer – Karthikeyan

Those who were nabbed and brought to trial were mere foot soldiers not those who planned and executed the conspiracy using foot soldiers like Sivarasan, Thanu et al.

    2. You write: This allegation of yours has become monotonous …

Ha ha, our demand for the capture and trial of the terrorist thug Prabhakaran becomes monotonous but the plight of Sri Lankan Tamils never becomes so.

You know what is monotonous – Every other day, some clown or the other in Tamil Nadu (one day it’s movie stars, another day it’s the software coolies…another day it’s ..) staging a protest over the Sri Lankan Tamils. But no voices are raised against the LTTE terrorists. Not a pipsqueak.

We see a big disconnect here.

We repeat – a lot of Tamils in Tamil Nadu and elsewhere are blinded by their love for – and fear of – the terrorist Prabhakaran to raise their voices against him.

    3. Our call for justice to Rajiv Gandhi may seem monotonous to you but we see us among the few sane voices against the unruly Tamil mob supporting the LTTE terrorists.

I have posted a link with some information on how these criminals killed many tamil leaders in Sri Lanka whom they have thought would be a threat for the their so called ideology of being the “Sole representatives of the tamils”.

I have posted in your item under the following title:

But one thing everyone must remember is that the LTTE is a master strategists, no doubt. They are lethal, shrewd, cunning and foolish in the end. All this killings is going to visit them very soon when the clock turns full circle and meet the starting point.

On the propaganda front they simply know very well how to swing in a branch and grab the banana. They consider all their supporters, well wishers and backers as apes like them. SI says this in a very fitting manner “Korangu” (The Monkey).

  9. shuaib68   November 24, 2008 at 3:02 am

    N. Sathiya Moorthy has written an interesting article on the conflict resolution of the SL ethnic strife and how certain resolutions came to a naught before the military actions of the LTTE that speaks nothing but volence and unacceptable demands.

When the govt.of SL did actually came up with many proposals to find a way out, the LTTE stood in the way bungling all the efforts put forwarded by the peace loving elements of the conflict resolution crowds.

To get a more closer look at the different angles of the issue, I would suggest anyone to read the article, before coming into any conclutions.
