Salman Khan Sinking, Sinking, Sinking
Salman Khan may not guarantee good movies.
But Salman ‘Flop‘ Khan certainly guarantees that his movies will perform pitifully at the U.S. box office.
If you thought Salman Khan’s last movie Wanted did badly at the U.S. box office, that ain’t nothing compared to the Main Aurr Mrs.Khanna debacle.
A carnage this time, folks.
There’s blood all over the floor. Scattered limbs and pieces of flesh all around.
Main Aurr Mrs.Khanna has achieved the impossible – it has done worse than Salman’s God Tussi Great Ho.
And that’s no mean feat, guys. Salman Khan must have worked really hard to sink so low. Give him a big hand, now.
In its opening October 16-18, 2009 weekend at the U.S. box office, Salman Khan’s Main Aurr Mrs.Khanna grossed a shamefully low figure of $121,134.
The movie debuted at No-37 and had an average of a piffling $2,053.
Are we surprised at the dismal performance?
Of course not. Hey, remember this is a Salman ‘Flop’ Khan movie. What else are you gonna get.
Here’s what one Indian movie critic had to say about Main Aurr Mrs.Khanna:
There are dumb scripts and dumber scripts, but Main Aurr Mrs Khanna has got to be the dumbest….Salman Khan in rust-brown hair and sleepy eyes looks like he really doesn’t want to be in this film at all…
Here’s how Main Aurr Mrs.Khanna fared compared to a few other prominent Bollywood movies:
The worst actor in hindi cinema is Salman khan , every 3 months he delivers a bad film :X
Wht abt the BO reports of Blue in US and UK .?
1. Strangely, Blue’s box office numbers are not available.
These kinda strange stuff makes us uneasy.
2. Gemini Review – Mandae Veddikidhu, O Podu
From what i hear, Blue is a flop overseas, even here in India, its doubtful, 100 cr is too big an amount, and not everyone is James Cameron to pull off such a feat.

It deserves to f*cking fail.
Akshay Kumar should take Sanyas, depart to Varanasi, smear ashes all over his body and do penance for the crime of unleashing Blue upon the populace..
“do penance for the crime of unleashing Blue upon the populace.”
Just Blue, what about SIK, Kambakth Ishq, CC2C, his sins are too many, he needs to do penance for Yedu Janma.
In our not so humble view, Aksahay’s worst crime is Heyy Babyy, which was outright theft of Three Men and a Baby.
The Akshay ‘scumbag’ Kumar just has no shame.
Salman Khan had an extended guest appearance in this movie. That’s it. The movie was meant to showcase the histrionic talents of his thespian brother Sohail Khan, who also happens to be the producer of the movie.
For the last several years, this Sohail Khan guy has acted only in his home productions, or in movies which have got his more illustrous brother.
MAMK is worse than the three movies you watched on that eventful day, and I can say this without watching any of them. Now, thats called training ;-).

If Salman Khan is mediocre, his two Khan’t act siblings Sohail and Arbaaz are total retards when it comes to their screen performances.
As if Sohail Khan Production was not enough, there is one Arbaaz Khan Production coming up as well.
Can not believe that the sons of Salim Khan (of Salim-Javed duo, who wrote stuff like Sholay and Deewar), havent inherited an iota of their dad’s talents.
In contrast look at Farhan and Zoya Akhtar (kids of Javed Akhtar) who have given clear indication of their talents (Dil Chahta Hai, Lakshya, Rock On, Luck by chance).
Is there no such thing like genes ?

No surprise that the Indian movie industry is the joke of the world (except with our schmuck desis, of course).
I liked the way Sohail Khan, the creative producer(?), blamed everything on the “wrong release date” 😀
The movie isn’t bad, really. Its just that we didn’t get time to trash all of it and make a new one. Stupid studios! What do they know!
Yeah, saw this on TOI yesterday.
Surely, y’all have heard this old saying – the whore who couldn’t dance blamed the design of the floor.
UTV is the only big player that has sense enough to back small, good, intelligent films.
While YRF, Sri Vinayaka et al squandered money over ‘stars’. UTV gave us Kaminey, Dev D etc. to name a few. Wonder what happened to them here?
Eros Entertainment (big U.S. distributor of Bollywood & Tamil movies too via their ownership of Ayngaran) is also playing it safe these days and cutting their losses.
Remember how they walked out of Enthiran?
