Songs and photography are simply brilliant in the movie.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Finished watching the movie.

Didn’t want to do the review in a rush. Hence deferred it.

The movie was very nice till they were in the village Poongudi, then started slipping.

Ajith is, of course, true to form – like a Monkey.

Director Rajiv Menon has some class.

The song kandukondein// is one the loveliest songs I’ve heard. Even the picturisation is simply lovely. As usual Ajith is a walking dead. I can remember only few scenes because it was quite a long time.

Anyway, what amazes me is the SI liking the movie. It shows the true intention of SI. SI, I think is truly fighting for the cinema. Not the bloody Non-acting Hero nor the big “hoo-haa” of the people who are involved in a movie.

SI… YOU ARE A MAJOR…MAJOR sundera rajan in cinema review.

Howdy? Long time no hear. ๐Ÿ™‚

We’ll do the full review of Kandkondein tomorrow.

Compared to Abbas, Ajith is highly evolved ๐Ÿ˜‰

Songs and picturization are good in this movie. But overall this movie was very boring.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

The post-Poongudi part was so-so but overall watchable.

This movie is based on Jane Austen’s Sense And Sensibility.

    SI:Howdy? Long time no hear.

Hi! SI. I’m really fine. I’m trying to relate to some story of yours that could ignite the fire burning within myself. But, only few items are flammable to me. But, whenever I find something hazardous I plug-in.

“Engey neruppu, angey naan panji madiri ottuweyn..nella”
(Where there’s fire, I would join the flames”

    “Eriyira neruppu, jaga-jodhiya eriyattum”
(Let the fire burn in it’s full fury and glory with maximum devastation.) …Lucifer, bless me!

Is this review going to be before Dev D or after Dev D ๐Ÿ˜‰
one of the few Tamil movies I have watched in American theaters.

was very impressed.. 10 times better than movies like “Thenali” and “Jeans” and 2 times better than Indian.. almost as good a spectacle as Sivaji ๐Ÿ˜‰ Oh, I have only 4 movies in all these years.. I think I have forgotten a couple more.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Sorry, sweetie-pie. Before Dev D.

It’s just that we haven’t had a friendly encounter with the Sleep Gods in some time.

Will try to complete both Kandukondein Kandukondein and Biryani Cart today. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now that the screaming hordes are likely out of the stores, planning to head out to the mall for our Chick-fil-a Peppermint Chocolate Chip shake fix.

Want to see what is still left in the stores.

Kandukondein was deftly not half as bad as it could have been or I expected it to be.
one of the few movies where Aishwarya’s done a good job.

Ah, for once some common ground between us.

    2. You write: one of the few movies where Aishwarya’s done a good job.

We wouldn’t say good job….in the upcoming review we’ve made a concession and say ‘mostly graceless.’

leave kandukondein, if you get a chance watch “minsara kanavu” by the same director, it is a far superior movie than kkkk. By the way awards season has come, i cant think of a single english movie to get a nomination, u have any suggestions?

We’ll go out on a limb and suggest The Road (a book we have read but a movie we’ve yet to see….based on past performance of the lead star Viggo Mortensen and the sui generis story).

You ask Viggo who? Hey, Viggo Mortensen (of Eastern Promises and Appaloosa fame.

The Road is in limited release in the U.S. and unlikely to have made it to your shores.

Last year, at about the same time we described Slumdog Millionaire as an ‘Oscar-worthy gem‘…well, you know the rest of that story, don’t you. ๐Ÿ˜‰
