Middle Finger for Ex-Miss.Universe, Ex-Miss.World

Well, well looks like being ex-Miss Universe or ex-Miss World just does not have the same cachet any more.

These are unforgiving times even for pretty gals.

Look at the fate of former Miss.Universe Sushmita Sen’s Dulha Mil Gaya or Miss World Priyanka Chopra’s Pyaar Impossible.

Both have failed to create even ripples at the U.K. box office (sorry, we don’t have U.S. figures this time).

Here, look at the opening weekend box office numbers for Dulha Mil Gaya and Pyaar Impossible:

Same is not the case for 3 Idiots. It is running to glory here..

Where is it in the list? Don’t tell me it is somewhere below Jail ! Or did you edit the chart????

These are UK figures…the reason we did not include 3 Idiots in the above chart was because we did not get Opening Gross for 3 Idiots.

The UK Film Council did not put up numbers for the Opening Weekend. You can see UK Film Council report here. The Christmas Weekend numbers are missing.

    Stop jumping to ridiculous conclusions.

    2. We have provided U.S. Opening Weekend gross and 2nd Weekend gross for 3 Idiots.

Plus, we did a comparative look at Aamir Khan vs others in this piece Aamir Khan – New King Khan of Bollywood.

We may differ with the world in our opinions but facts are not amenable to mischief.

Have you seen Sushmita’s movie Samay? I liked it..What do you say about Aishwariya’s movie Provoked, Mistress of Spices, Bride and Prejudice? What do u feel about those?

No, we have not watched Sushmita’s Samay...only her Main Hoon Na. Plain awful.

    2. You write: What do you say about Aishwariya’s movie Provoked, Mistress of Spices, Bride and Prejudice? What do u feel about those?

As for Ash, we’ve seen her Mistress of Spices and Bride and Prejudice.

Both were disappointing. The above links contain the reviews of Mistress… and Bride and… (pre-SI blog format).

Haven’t seen Provoked (we’ve met the movie’s director Jag Mundhra on a couple of occasions).

Just read Jag’s wiki.. IITB – Ph.d – sleazy thrillers.. interesting.. he must have actually made good money with all those movies (Ph.d. in movie marketing).. Did you get to talk to him about what inspired him to delve into producing semi-smut?

No, regrettably. Just engaged in some polite chit-chat with Jag and his wife Chandra Mundhra.

We were aware of Jag Mundhra’s filmi background but not intimately familiar with his oeuvre.

Happy Pongal – sorry, Pongal Vazhthukkal 🙂

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Ungalakkum Saar (For you too). 🙂

Feel hungry at the very thought of Pongal. If we weren’t sick, we’d have gone to NYC and had Pongal at Pongal restaurant on Lexington Ave. 🙁

Sugarcane is another speciality. Biting one as I’m typing this. I know you are already jealous 😉

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

      Karumbu for the Kurumbu. 😉

(Sorry folks, the magic disappears in the translation.)

Decades since we had sugarcane. Vaguely remember having sugarcane juice in NYC some 12 years back.
