Will Allah’s Followers Save My Name is Khan?

We’ve been watching Bollywood films for many years in the U.S.

But never have we seen so many Muslims flock to a Bollywood film as we saw gather en masse this evening (Friday) at a Regal Cinema on the East Coast for the screening of My Name is Khan.

Like the varied rats in The Pied Piper of Hamelin, different kinds of Muslims turned out for the 6:05PM show.

Young and old. Men and women. Nattily dressed and not so nattily dressed. Women wearing scarves and scarf-less women. Indians, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis.

We have an eerie feeling that Muslims in the U.S. will give a fillip to this latest Bollywood movie featuring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in key roles.

That doesn’t seem right.

But then whoever said life was fair.

Muslims cannot save film whose budget is more than 100 crores and which has average story.
Like many other films it will get good opening and will flush out in next weekend.

Hey SI, you need to grow, be broad minded.

If one community folks are seen in a movie theatre what’s wrong? So at least now bollywood came up to make a movie on suffering of one particular community.

Nothing wrong. Do we tamils complain when a [Deleted] watch first show of a tamil movie and thrash our own Ajith, Vijay etc? because we tamils let him do that since that jobless poor guy to meet his living with a broad minded approach.

We do recruiting, anyone need help?

There’s nothing wrong in mentioning an unusual fact.

It is a fact that we have not seen Muslims throng a Bollywood film in such large numbers here. But for the name of the movie (My Name is Khan), Shahrukh Khan’s presence in the film and the sense of alienation among some Muslims we doubt Muslims would have come out in such numbers for this movie.

It’s also our hypothesis that Muslims would not patronize a movie featuring Hindu stars or a subject that portrays Hindus in a favorable light. Neither would Christians.

Mentioning these facts has nothing to do with being broadminded.

Also, as long as we keep ridiculing the Hindus as cow-ca-cola drinkers or criticize Narendar Modi you guys are happy. The moment we highlight an odd fact about other religions you folks get your knickers all in a twist, start frothing at the mouth and begin hyperventilating.

All religions are stupid. Not just Hinduism. Learn to accept that.

In Incredible India and even in the U.S, suffering is not restricted to one community. If you take absolute numbers, more Hindus are suffering in India than the others.

Further, when you blow up airplanes into American office buildings or fire into Indian hotels filled with people there’s bound to be more police focus on your community by the government.

And we think it’s fair for the police to pay special attention on these communities that engage in repeated attacks on others.

    For your church? 😉

    4. You write: …thrash our own Ajith, Vijay etc

When did you get to own a ‘piece’ of these stars? BTW, isn’t Ajith from Andhra Pradesh?
