SI Reads Quran 7 – Hamas Traitor is Right on Allah

Statutory Warning: All Religions are Equally Stupid

The Wall Street Journal on Saturday featured an interview with Hamas traitor Mosab Hassan Yousef, a confessed spy for Israeli security agency Shin Bet, a convert to Christianity and also oldest son of a Hamas founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef.

In the interview, here’s what the Hamas traitor Mosab has to say about Muslims and their God Allah:

The problem is not in Muslims. The problem is with their God. They need to be liberated from their God. He is their biggest enemy. It has been 1,400 years they’ve been lied to.
Source: Wall Street Journal, The Weekend Interview, P. A13 (Print Edition), 3/6/2010

Although we’re not convinced by Mossab’s new-found love for ‘grace, love and humility’ in Christianity, we’re inclined to be sympathetic toward his unsympathetic views on Allah, professed as they are by a traitor with a political asylum application pending before the U.S. government.

You see, as we slowly trudge down the pages of the Quran, Allah’s tyrannical views, loathing for disbelievers and contemptuous disdain for a live and let live worldview seeps through strongly, starkly and yes, even sinfully.

Allah’s way is the way of the tyrant – My Way or Everlasting Fires of Hell for You.

Not an enthralling prospect.

Again and again and again, Allah stokes the malicious embers in the hearts of the people through the verses in his Quran.

And sadly, the Muslims, for whom the Quran is more potent than the combination of the Bible, Torah and Bhagavad Gita, tend to take everything in the Quran as the last word.

After all, isn’t the Quran the word of Allah, and the recipe for Muslims’ very existence.

Here are some of the verses in the Quran that feature Allah behaving in an un-God like fashion and shows him in a poor light (By the way, God with a capital G in the verses below is a reference to Allah):

But the disbelievers will have a drink of scalding water, and agonizing torment, because they persistently disbelieved. (Sura 10 Aya 4)

Those who do not expect to meet Us and are pleased with the life of this world, contenting themselves with it and paying no heed to Our signs, shall have the Fire for their home because of what they used to do. But as for those who believe and do good deeds, their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Streams will flow at their feet in the Gardens of Bliss. (Sura 10 Aya 8,9 & 10)

Who could be more wicked than someone who invents lies against God or denies His revelations? The guilty will never prosper. (Sura 10 Aya 17)

If ‘agonizing torment’ and ‘scalding water’ are assuredly what awaits people for the mere misdemeanor of disbelief, then Allah is no God. No matter his repeated claims to omniscience and omnipotence.

Allah is also an insecure God constantly belittling and like a schoolyard bully threatening people for daring to pray to other gods:

If people do not believe in God’s revelation, God does not guide them, and painful punishment awaits them. (Sura 16 Aya 104)

They worship alongside God things that can neither harm nor benefit them, and say, ‘These are our intercessors with God,’Say, Do you think you can tell God about something He knows not to exist in the heavens or earth? Glory be to Him! He is far above the partner-gods they associate with Him! (Sura 10 Aya 18)

Ask them,’Can any of your partner-gods originate creation, then bring it back to life again in the end? Say, it is God that originates creation and then brings it back to life, so how can you be misled? Say, ‘Can any of your partner-gods show the way to the Truth?’ Say, ‘God shows the way to the Truth. Is someone who shows the way to the Truth more worthy to be followed, or someone who cannot find the way unless he himself is shown? (Sura 10 Aya 34 & 35)

For those who believe and are conscious of God, for them there is good news in life and in the Hereafter–there is no changing the promises of God–that is truly the supreme triumph. (Sura 10, Aya 63 & 64)

When Allah repeatedly threatens torment and pain to those who disbelieve in him, is it any surprise that the simpleton Muslims cower in fear at even the thought of straying from the path laid down in the Quran and interpreted by host of Mullahs with self-serving agendas:

Say [Prophet], ‘Those who invent lies about God will not prosper?. They may have a little enjoyment in this world, but then they will return to Us. Then we shall make them taste severe punishment for persisting in blasphemy. (Sura 10 Aya 69 & 70)

Those against whom your Lord’s sentence is passed will not believe, even if every sign comes to them, until they see the agonizing torment. (Sura 10 Aya 96, 97)

We did not wrong them; they wronged themselves. Their gods, which they called on beside God, were no use to them when what your Lord had ordained came about; they only increased their ruin. Such is the punishment of your Lord for towns in the midst of their sins: His punishment is terrible and severe. (Sura 11 Aya 101, 102)

[Prophet] say, ‘People, even if you are in doubt about my religion, I do not worship those you worship other than God, But I worship God who will cause you to die, and I am commanded to be a believer. [Prophet], set your face towards religion as a man of pure faith. (Sura 10 Aya 104, 105)

Impossible Task
After several decades on this planet and now as we ready for the hereafter, if there’s one certainty we can be sure amidst all the caprices of fate it is that liberating humans from their stupidities is a task beyond even the supposed omnipotence of ‘god’ who of course exists only in the imagination of dolts of which number there’s no dearth.

Further, those who benefit from the status quo like the Islamic regimes in the Middle East or the Mullahs in Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia and elsewhere have a vested interest in maintaining and strengthening it.

Add to this the seething cauldron of vast illiteracy, poverty and suffering plaguing hundreds of millions of Muslims compounded by 14 centuries of brainwashing and you realize the futility of even trying to liberate a populace in the vice-like grip of an unrepentant dictator not unlike the current lot lording over the Middle East.

Bottom line, Allah’s troublesome power to foment mischief, discord and bloodshed is not going away anywhere soon.

And by that reckoning, the power of the Quran far eclipses that of all other words, printed or otherwise.

“Allah” is not a specific god right, it just means “God” in arab generally, like the english word “God” used to.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Allah is the only God…he does not brook any rivals.

No Muruga, No Christ, No Hanuman…… Only Allah.

The version of Quran we’re reading (translated by Prof. M.A.S.Abdel Haleem) uses the word ‘God‘ to refer to Allah.

Other translations like Yusuf Ali’s version of the Quran use the word Allah.

Why are there no muslims here to defend/clarify against these Aligations? Are you ashamed, fellas?

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write: Why are there no muslims here to defend/clarify against these Aligations?

    Because they have no defense.

Considering the fact that almost all muslims are devoutly religious, I guess we must be thankful only a handful of them actually carry out Allah’s sayings. Maybe the rest of them just steel themselves against the lure of 72 virgins.

Imagine what would happen if all of them turned violent against the disbelievers. We would have a tough time! 😐

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write above: Considering the fact that almost all muslims are devoutly religious, I guess we must be thankful only a handful of them actually carry out Allah’s sayings….Imagine what would happen if all of them turned violent against the disbelievers

That day may come sooner rather than later given the toxic slush that accumulates in the brain, a result of reading all this nonsense.

I don’t know about you guys, but I would rather have dinner with Bob Larson and Pat Robertson in one week and have coffee with Joseph Smith the next, than have one email conversation with a mainstream Muslim.

No offense to anyone who belongs to that religion. I feel that even the most extreme Christians can be won over by patience while even the most moderate Muslims will still distort Sanskrit words in order to convert ignorant people to Islam.

I have tried on several occasions to arrange an inter faith meeting with imams in my area, all in vain. They really believe that they and they only are the only one’s who know $hit about “religion”. Again no offense but that’s what my experience has been.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Hindus and their priests are no different from Muslims and Christians in their eager embrace of stupidity.

Hindus are completely convinced that Rama and Krishna really existed and Hanuman flew over land and sea to Sri Lanka to discern Sita’s whereabouts.

Which other religion except Hinduism organizes Pujas (prayers) for a Car. Yes, for a car.

They call it Car Puja and some Temples in the U.S. have fixed rates for those services.

Every devout Hindu goes to a Hindu temple after buying a new car to get it blessed by God’s ambassador on Earth, the priest with the tuft.

In Ohio, we’ve seen Car Puja at Dayton Hindu Temple, Beavercreek.

See picture of Car Pooja in progress at Chicago Rama Temple.

Here’s another Car Puja at Atlanta Temple. And this one for a lowly Hyundai!

How do you explain the four tusked elephants mentioned in the ramayana (yes there really were such things, see link) when they were extinct 30,000 years ago?how do you explain that valmiki or whoever composed the ramaayana knew of their existence when noone even over here in america knew about them until 1933?is it a coincidence that airavata and the skeletonal remains of a proto-mastadon look almost exactly the same?

as far as car puja’s are concerned, its not uncommon to see a father pour holy water over a sedan or cadi.as far as krishna goes,we have discovered dwarkapuri off the coast of gujarat in 2001 and have confirmed that it was in fact man made.as har as hanuman goes,if we can land on the moon, why not fly to lanka?there are many types of flying fish(see link) so why not flying monkey’s?as far as beavercreek goes,i know the pundit there,he’s a nice guy and he also hails from south india(just fyi).

Are you looking for me? I am in the next seat. My shoulder is against yours. you will not find me in the stupas, not in Indian shrine rooms, nor in synagogues, nor in cathedrals: not in masses, nor kirtans, not in legs winding around your own neck, nor in eating nothing but vegetables. When you really look for me, you will see me instantly — you will find me in the tiniest house of time. Kabir says: Student, tell me, what is God? He is the breath inside the breath.

sorry i just thought that was a good quote, here’s the video to go with it

@SI: I read all your posts on the Quran and all the reader comments. It was a very good learning experience. I think this site has got very well read and learned commentators.

I feel very small among this learned crowd.. 🙁

Islam, definitely seems very harsh than other religions towards disbelievers.

I will put forward my impression of what I feel about religion and God. To be honest. I am confused.

While the teachings given on these religious scriptures have mostly lost relevance for the present times we live in. It is also very hard to imagine, I think it is impossible, how a single person or set of people had such fertile imagination to create such huge and complex scriptures. Also, the writing style and the way the content is presented is uniform in these huge scriptures that it would be impossible for multiple people to have worked on it. It seems to support the divine intervention factor that all of the sacred books say.

Now, science has grown so much and it has been able to define every phenomenon natural or otherwise that is happening around us. Things like rain, thunder & lighting which were thought to be divine acts are now explained.

I happened to read a book called “Brief History of Time” by Stephen Hawking. In that the scientist starts explaining the universe, the laws of physics and so many other things. Now we know about everything in this universe except, why we were created and what happened at t=0 during big bang.

Einstein had famously said “God doesn’t play dice with the universe”. Stephen Hawking counters it by saying, “Indeed, God does play dice with the universe and he rolls them onto a place where humans cannot see”. He adds, if the charge of the electron were to be any different, then the atoms would not have combined the way they have to form such atoms, then to form such complex molecules, which in turn supposedly led to the creation of life.

May be I would like to go with the scientist Stephen Hawking, when he says that God might have created this universe, but he definitely does not run it.

I think that can explain the lot of poverty, misery and a society afflicted by a deep cultural malaise.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write: I think it is impossible, how a single person or set of people had such fertile imagination to create such huge and complex scriptures.

Few seem to realize that scriptures from most religions were often written over the course of several decades/centuries with different authors contributing their two-bit junk.

Since there was no version control, file safeguards or system restore in the days of yore what you end up with is a huge mass of monumental rubbish that idiotic believers in subsequent centuries salivate and drool about as they pore over the junk.

If God exists, he must surely be worse than Bill Gates for releasing the crappiest, most bug-ridden product ever (humanity) without putting it through the full beta-testing process.

  12. dpak.shimpo   July 10, 2011 at 2:30 am

@SIYou write: Few seem to realize that scriptures from most religions were often written over the course of several decades/centuries with different authors contributing their two-bit junk.

It will be impossible to maintain the consistency of the writing over such a long duration if it was written by various authors. Even in the case of your blog, you easily find out if some one after being banned trying to comment under some other name. You find them out because, you know their learning styles, the common mistakes they make.

So only, I am inclined to think it may have been written by a single person.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write: It will be impossible to maintain the consistency of the writing over such a long duration if it was written by various authors.

What consistency are we talking of?

    Language evolves fast.

Hey, many people could not even understand the Tamil in Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan, which is supposed to reflect the language spoken a mere 10-centuries back. 😉

And we are talking of much, much older scriptures put out in some dead languages and translated and passed on over, only God Knows, how many thousand years (initially in oral form and subsequently committed to papyrus).

It’s only 2:36AM on the East Coast and we’re not completely drunk yet to swallow this consistency drivel. Give us a break, puleeze.

    • dpak.shimpo   July 10, 2011 at 5:41 am

@SI: You write “Language evolves fast.”

You may have unknowingly strengthened my argument! 🙂

You need not go back 10 centuries, just take the case of 60 years. There was a particular way of writing the tamil “Na” as in Annadurai during pre-independence era, post-independence is the modern “Na” as we see it today.

Document dating is done using both radio-dating and also observing the characters used in the document and comparing them with the characters of that particular era.

Now, if the particular document was written over a period of several decades/centuries, the characters used in the documents would be different.

Also, you write: “It’s only 2:36AM on the East Coast and we’re not completely drunk yet to swallow this consistency drivel. Give us a break, puleeze.”

May be you should down some more and that will make you sharper 😉

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

Document dating is not relevant here because scriptures often go back to the oral tradition days, transmitted and embellished orally for centuries before being put down into written form.

    • rama dasa   July 10, 2011 at 8:26 am

According to Bhaktivinode thakur, the grand guru of Prabhupad, the Ramayana was not composed by valmiki alone but the Mahabharat was in fact composed ONLY by vyasji, wendy doniger agrees to that.

Also Stephen Hawking is just a retard (literally and figuratively) don’t listen to him,if you want a so called scientists opinion, read Srinivasa Ramanujam,he was very devoted to vishnupriyaji, scientists are mostly atheistic anyway, read bhaskaracharyaji if you want a “scientist’s” opinion, also of the koran, read abdulla yusuf ali’s translation as it is more authentic or the original Arabic.

  13. dpak.shimpo   July 10, 2011 at 10:56 pm

@Rama Dasa: No, he is not a retard. He is suffering from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, known colloquially in the United States as Lou Gehrig’s disease)(Source:Wikipedia).

He has also been awarded numerous awards in the Physics category and USA also has honored him with Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the United States in the year 2009 (Source:Wikipedia)

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Seriously, anyone who calls Stephen Hawking a retard has to immediately have his/her/its head examined.

Despite all the limitations imposed by his ailments, Stephen Hawking has pushed the frontiers of science through his work.

Sometimes, it’s better to shut one’s mouth and be suspected of being an idiot rather than open it wide and confirm the suspicion. 🙁
