Morning SI. Ireland has comeback really well after the early blow. But as the commentator said, even a 250 chase from India should be a easy one. Lets see!

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Good Evening, sweetie!

    Feeling a little nervous now.

How did this Piyush Chawla get into the team? Too Expensive. Gives away too many runs. ๐Ÿ™

  2. sam   March 6, 2011 at 5:23 am

india bowling is poor. dhoni is relying a lot on part-timers. still, india will win this easily!

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Kick Piyush Chawla out.

Did he come in under the Reservation category. ๐Ÿ™

  3. kd36939   March 6, 2011 at 5:37 am

Yeah. Quite surprised to see his name in the team today. He wasn’t all that impressive the previous match. Btw, how is the streaming quality? I have to constantly change the feeding source either because it has a chocked streaming or there is a voice / video dilation.

Are you checking the SA vs ENG match? England has taken a couple of quick wickets now and it looks like a tough finish for SA.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Problems with streaming here too. Changed source 3 or 4 times so far.

Not checking SA vs Eng. SA six wickets down. Tough for SA. 125-6

Watch the SA vs ENG match!!!!!!!!! Another wicket. Yahooooooooooooooooo!

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

here, I was thinking that Dockrell was a brilliant young spinner.. until Yusuf shows him up.

Cakewalk??? Were you guys seeing the wrong match. All I can remember is seeing a “STRONG Indian batting line-up” scoring at a rate of just near 4.5 an over to win the match. If I am right, until Yusuf Pathan came in, India hadn’t scored a boundary for Eons.

On the positive side, it was good to see India restrict Ireland to a decent score of 207. Yuvraj bowled decently and was lucky to take 5 wickets (Especially the last two which would have been declared not out in Pre-UDRS days). I think Zaheer bowled excellently.
Ireland also did a decent job after losing their first two wickets for just 9 runs. They fielded brilliantly, made India earn every run and showed that they can fight, unlike Bangla, Canada, and other minnows who faltered.

I wish that ICC grants test status to Ireland soon. I don’t want them to lose precious players like Ed Joyce (Who was poached by England and came back) or EOIN MORGAN (Who is supposed to return to the WC squad as Pietersen’s replacement). Clearly, Ireland are the rising stars of this WC and I bet they will go a long way in the future.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write: Cakewalk??? Were you guys seeing the wrong match

Well, the match didn’t go into the last over like the India vs England match.

Well, we won the match with 5 overs to spare.

Well, we won the match with 5 wickets to spare.

couldnt agree more with aswin the match certainly wasnt a cakewalk. Ireland made us to sweat for this victory. i was surprised to see the match go on till 45 OVERS Ideally it could have been called a cakewalk if our boys had wrapped up the game within 35 ovs with minimal loss of wickets

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

With 5 overs to go and 5 wickets in hand, we wouldn’t call it sweating for victory.

But bowing to popular demand we’ve changed the headline.

Aswin Kini, you win. Please see new headline – India vs Ireland; Cakewalk for India? Not Really

“Not really” is apt.. India made it supremely boring.. They could have finished it in 30 overs or at least lost 9 wickets before winning.
After watching all those hyper-interesting England games, India reminded why 50 overs should be obsoleted. Too much waste of time. Keep the test matches for the cricket lovers and 20-20 for the schmucks and get rid of ODIs.

      Pakistan-NZ today could become interesting.

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

Terroristan 23-3 @8:51AM. Praying desperately. Yipee. One more wicket down!

    Offtopic:
I watched straw dogs starring dustin hoffman yesterday and I suggest you to look at the same . The film had me thinking long after it was over. It was very thought provoking film about an unviolent man coming to terms with his own violence. The perfomance all around was great especially hoffmans . The pace is slow, allowing you to get a real feel for characters causing the end to be even more powerful and shocking and inarguably provocative. Considering the film was made in 1971, the graphic violence was high and a controversial depiction of a rape caused the film to banned for 30 years in UK

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Unfortunately, Netflix does not have Straw Dogs. Very strange. Likely, the last copies they had were either damaged in transit or never returned.

We’ll check back in a few days to see if they have obtained a copy.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Watching now.

    Thanks.
