Boogie Wonderland – Magic Still Strong

Thanks to the French movie Intouchables, I discovered the magic of the 1979 disco classic Boogie Wonderland from the music band Earth, Wind & Fire.

After watching Omar Sy dance to Boogie Wonderland in Intouchables, I scampered over to the original and the below 1979 video is what I found.

After listening to Boogie Wonderland a gazillion times on YouTube and deriving incrementally more joy each time, I jumped over to iTunes and got myself this classic for 69-cents (look under the album I Am, otherwise you’re gonna ending up paying $1.29).

A disco classic for less than the price of a Samosa.

Ha, ha, ha, now that’s what SI calls a rockin deal, kid! 😉

By the way, did you know our President Barack Obama is a big fan of Earth, Wind & Fire.

Obama has even had the band perform in the White House.

On second thoughts, Earth, Wind & Fire may not be completely foreign to my ears.

You see, after listening to the band’s September number I got a big deja vu feeling.

So maybe I was aware of them after all.
