Quote of the Day – A Nobody’s Grandfather

A Republican can’t enjoy his dinner unless he knows somebody else is hungry.

– Commenter ttyymmnn citing his Grandfather in a Gawker story

As I once told a friend, sometimes the best part of a news story is not the story itself but lies hidden in the comments section below the story.

I was reading a story in Gawker about the hooker-loving Louisiana Senator David Vitter (a Republican Senator, of course) when I stumbled upon the above brilliant quote in the comments section! 😉

Among the countless assholes populating this planet, few are as obnoxious as the corporate ass-kissing, anti-poor Republicans with their phony morality, phony conservatism and phony values.

I wonder if Tamil as a language will last another 100 years in Tamil Nadu.

Tamil will find it extremely hard to resist the current onslaught of English.

I wholeheartedly agree with this point –

“sometimes the best part of a news story is not the story itself but lies hidden in the comments section below the story.”

Because many times we see this happening with the posts of SI 😉

I cannot think of a more interactive Indian blog than SI blog. It ain’t bragging if it’s true! 😉
