We are watching the DVD of a seven-year-old Kamal Haasan-Sneha-Simran movie Pammal K. Sambandam.
A romantic comedy, Kamal Haasan plays the role of a movie stuntman and bachelor in this movie.
Directed by Mouli, Pammal K. Sambandam was released on January 15, 2002 (presumably a Pongal release).
Why are We Watching Pammal K Sambandam?
There’s chatter on the web that Akshay ‘Chandni Chowk to China‘ Kumar’s forthcoming movie Kambakkht Ishq set for release in the near future is a Bollywood remake of Pammal K. Sambandam.
Maybe. Maybe not.
We may put out a full review separately after we finish watching Pammal K. Sambandam.
There is a very boring TINY story line, but a entertaining screen play and enjoyable comedy.. I liked this one, and I guess u will like it too.
I did not like this movie. It was not a hit either. Btw, when are you reviewing Up?
Most likely on Friday. We have yet to see it.
I liked this one.. did you like it?
What we’ve watched so far – No.
We’ll do a complete review in a few hours.
This movie starts nicely and just when you start enjoying, It starts to deteriorate .
Kamal’s over indulgence and Simran’s irritating acting adds to it. Waiting to see your review.
We didn’t think much of the beginning too.
Here’s the Pammal K. Sambandam Review – Bad Omens for Kambakkht Ishq
I agree with Satya. The movie started out well and then went Phut!!!!!
Here’s the Pammal K. Sambandam Review – Bad Omens for Kambakkht Ishq.
The movie is kind of a silly joke which tends to frustrate you over period of time….btw when will you review Micheal Madanna Kamarajan which i feel is good …
Unfortunately, Netflix does not have Michael Madana Kamarajan
Yeah Micheal Madanna Kamarajan is fantastic. Ripper of a comedy…
Have you seen the other famous comedy movie – Panchathantiram ??
There are many good jokes but overall as a movie, I would say slightly above average 😉
Did you find favour with it ??
Panchathantiram? No, we haven’t seen it.
Panchatantiram is another slapstik comedy from the combo of Kamal Haasan and Crazy Mohan. A good movie for its genre. The comedy is mostly situational and dialog based.
Nagesh’s role was my favorite. 🙂
Alas, the writing is not impressive for both videos (above).
