Trisha is Trash in Khatta Meetha, Say Critics & Audience

Khatta Meetha Box Office: Disaster, Big Disaster

Readers of this fine blog have always known that Tamil ‘actress’ Trisha Krishnan is the most worthless thing when it comes to delivering the acting goods.

Total garbage.

The woman can’t emote if her life depended on it.

But Bollywood critics are just realizing what a lot of South Indians and SI readers have long known – Trisha is Trash, if you are talking movies.

Here’s what the critics had to say on Trisha’s Bollywood debut via Khatta Meetha:

Trisha has nothing notable to deliver in her Bollywood debut.

Trisha…fails as an actress.

His co-star Trisha, however, fails to stand up to Akshay.

The director appears confused what his heroine should be: a girl-next-door or a fiery municipal commissioner. Newcomer Trisha fails on both counts.

Some Members of the Audience (Source: IBNLive):

Bhavik Vora: [H]er pairing with Akshay does not look very great. Her acting is not very good and her face shows no emotion.

Gaurang Aggarwal: She didn’t act well. She couldn’t stand up to Akshay’s on-screen energy. I think Urvashi would have been a better choice opposite Akshay.

Avinash Shetty: I was disappointed by her performance. She was ordinary and there was nothing special about her.

How this utterly incompetent starlet gets to feature in movie after movie is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma (Thank you, Churchill). 🙁

No surprise that Indian films are considered a joke in the West.

Asin must be having her last laugh. At least she didnt get criticized for her performance in Ghajini (which was, in my honest opinion, totally over-the-top).

Trisha, welcome back to Tamil Nadu (and Andhra), where you clearly belong. You are no Sridevi or Hema Malini to make it big there (not that its a big thing to make it big in Hindi Cinema, but still) Responds:

    Asin who?

    2. You write: Trisha, welcome back to Tamil Nadu (and Andhra), where you clearly belong

No, this thing don’t belong nowhere in the film business.

If this one had any sense she’d heed our advice to get married to some businessman in Vaniyambadi or Ambatur, bid adieu to movies and get into the business of increasing India’s population. It’d be a relief for all. 😉

I never thought I would be defending Trisha here. But the standards of comparison between her and other Bollywood actresses are skewed badly. the so called “expert reviewers” you have quoted are the same ones who give a pass to the wooden acting of Kareena, Priyanka, Aishwarya etc.

Trisha is no Hepburn, but she’s no worse than her competition. Responds:

You write above: Trisha is no Hepburn, but she’s no worse than her competition.

Well, that is a novel way of looking at acting talent or lack of it.

Trisha is just a south Indian version of kareena kapoor. Can’t act ,Can’t emote and I don’t even find her pretty. Responds:

But this thing won some lottery. 🙁

That Trisha thrives in Kollywood is a poor reflection on the Tamil people just as Kareena’s stardom tells poorly on Bollywood fans.

All she needs now is a movie each with” I cant act salman khan” and Ultimate Korangu Ajith to return to her roots… Responds:

No, we skipped Trash oops Trisha and went to NYC to watch the French film Farewell. Working on the review now.
