Pakistan Vs West Indies; Super EZ Win for Pak

Folks, here we are watching the quarter finals match between Pakistan and  West Indies played at Sher-e Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.

West Indies won the toss and chose to bat first.

But what a pitiful performance from the WI batsmen. They could just manage 112-10. A pitiful score.

When Pakistan came into bat, the openers Kamran Akmal (47) and Mohammed Hafeez (61) crushed the West Indies bowlers with deft stroke play that made their opposition look like rank amateurs

In the end end, Pakistan won by 10 wickets in less than 21 overs.

Mighty Shame
What a shame that the West Indies team, which once boasted of great batsmen like Vivian Richards, Clive Lloyd, Alvin Kallicharan, Derrick Murray and Brian Lara, fast bowlers like Andy Roberts and spinners like L.R.Gibbs, should now be reduced to the status of  jokers.

whats happening? who let the windies play in the worldcup? I’m sure Ireland would have put up a better display, had they been in QF Responds:

You write: I’m sure Ireland would have put up a better display

Hell, the Edison cricket team in New Jersey would have fared better.

with this bowling attack, pukistan is definitely a force to reckon with. I guess they have it in them to go all the way. look on, these guys are enjoying themselves laughing on the field Responds:

We’re betting on Pukistan aka Terroristan lifting the cup now! 🙁

why u changed delaware to NJ . Sure, Delaware would have fared well Responds:

Well, nobody plays Cricket in DE but some desis do in New Jersey.

There is the Edison Cricket Club in Edison, NJ

    • முனிAndy   March 23, 2011 at 8:46 am

Apparently Delaware CC plays in the NJ league.

There is even a BAPS team! Where is Gora bhai..

Pak. is looking really dangerous. If Pak wins the WC in Mumbai, it’s going to drive hindu fanatics crazy. Responds:

      1. We doubt the DE cricket team is as active as the guys in NJ or FL. Former WI captain Clive Lloyd was in FL a few months back to present the awards at a desi cricket match.

      2. Pak crushing WI in the match under way at Mirpur.

Pak 55-0 @ 8:57AM ET. They need just 58 more runs to win. 🙁

may be pakis wants to end this world cup by loosing to india in semis? Responds:

From your lips to Allah’s ears.

    • முனிAndy   March 23, 2011 at 9:08 am

Gora transmogrified to Allah.. Are you watching from the beginning.. I woke up at 5 am and so that WI was 16/3.. promptly went back to sleep. Responds:

We saw your reference to Gora and then processed Rakeshbaba’s comment while watching the match at the same time.

      Multi-tasking has its pitfalls! 🙁

Been watching almost from the beginning. WI collapse is beyond pathetic!

Pak 79-0…should get over in the next 20 or so minutes. Need 34 runs to win. 9:18AM ET.

    • rakeshbaba   March 24, 2011 at 2:18 pm

will my previous comment will work? Responds:

We hope so, sweetie. We sure hope so.

      • rakeshbaba   March 24, 2011 at 2:25 pm

but even if india will not win the world cup in finals, they should beat pakistan at any cost to reach finals, but we all hope sachin wins the world cup in his home town Responds:

Yes, our first goal should be to prevent Terroristan from winning the World Cup. Maybe, even give some money to Dawood Bhai to do the needful. We understand that Bhai takes care of anything for the right amount of $$. 😉

Second goal, India must win the ICC 2011 Cricket World Cup.

        • rakeshbaba   March 30, 2011 at 1:38 pm

wat do you say to my comment which worked?

Sweetie, your prediction (may be pakis wants to end this world cup by loosing to india in semis?) on March 23, 2011 at 8:42 am was right on the money.

          • rakeshbaba   March 30, 2011 at 1:45 pm

yoo hoo, i and the whole India supporters all over the world (including SearchIndia) want Sachin to win the world cup with his 100th century

That would be nice, wouldn’t it?

Hi, Today could well be the last day of WC for India.

    India has 25% chance.

    What do u say?

Most people are predicting an Indian win, but today will be bye bye WC for India. Responds:

We also have an uneasy feeling.

We just don’t see the fanatical commitment and drive in the Indian team that, for instance, the Pakistani team possesses.

Bottom line, we’ll be surprised if India progresses to the Semi-finals.

  6. logu   March 24, 2011 at 10:09 pm

i completely echo rakesh baba’s statements. Im one amongst the billion fanatics who value India ripping apart that terrorist breeding pukistan more than winning the WC which comes second. If we beat them, theres no reason why we cant win again the WC. Responds:

We stand a good chance. Let’s hope no match fixing or other nonsense like blasts etc intrude into the game.
