LTTE Begs India’s Forgiveness for Rajiv’s Killing; No, Crush the Inhuman Pigs

VK Shashikumar: Can you tell us once and for all, did Prabhakaran plan Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination?

Kumaran Patmanathan (LTTE leader): It was well planned and done by Prabhakaran. It is the truth and everybody knows it. At this point I what to say to the Indian people and specially to the Gandhi family, I want to apologise for Prabhakaran mistake. I say please forgive us, we beg you, our people are struggling here, please help us to live as humans. Sorry for all this. We know the feeling of the son of Rajiv Gandhi and that his daughter.

It’s a human nature. It is bonding with father and daughter attachment. Even sometime I left my daughter I feel very sad they know. You know the family sentiment.

Not Our Tamils

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a million times.

The Sri Lankan Tamils are NOT our Tamils.

They deserve no support, no sympathy, no compassion and certainly no aid.

Let the Sri Lankan Tamils rot in hell.

For their support of the LTTE monster Prabhakaran and his thugs, the Sri Lankan Tamils are paying a heavy price now. But they have no one to blame but themselves.

LTTE Animals

The LTTE animals made a bad world worse.

The two negative contributions of the sick LTTE whackos to the world are the popularization of suicide bombing and forcible conscription of children into the LTTE.

And to forgive these animals would be a sin and a heinous crime.

Rajiv Gandhi was our leader and for him to die at the hands of these LTTE butchers is unpardonable.

Let us never forgive the LTTE even if they crawl on their knees and beg, as they presently are doing.

@SI: “The Sri Lankan Tamils are NOT our Tamils. They deserve no support, no sympathy, no compassion and certainly no aid. Let the Sri Lankan Tamils rot in hell.”

Leaving behind the ruthless LTTE, the above statement does not seem to be fair. They deserve the same sympathy and support – which the people those affected by genocides, war-crimes, inequalities and ethnic-cleansing around the world deserve. Not because they’re Tamils, but because they paid a heavy price.

There are far too many people suffering in India including in Tamil Nadu.

Let’s first take care of our Tamils and all the other hapless Indians and then worry about others.

I always wonder why someone would support a terrorist outfit like LTTE. And can’t get why all this anti-Brahmin stuff.

This is what Jaya had to say for Kumaran’s remark:
Responding to Pathmanathan’s claim that she too would have been killed had the LTTE got a chance, she said she has always lived under death threats. ”I have been living with that death threat since 1991,’’ she said.

As per Indian law, a person cannot contest to any of the elections (assembly / parliament) – if he/she was sentenced to an imprisonment of more than 2 years. Just 3 years brings her political career to an end.

And, we can’t expect a life imprisonment for politicians. India, you see.

Ayyo…sentiment overload!! This guy should be writing scripts for some village-centric Tamil movie.

@shadowfax: “And can’t get why all this anti-Brahmin stuff.”

Soft targets. The Brahmin community in TN is the most disorganized, lack unity, and are pusillanimous to boot. If only these guys came out of their “sambar saadam”-nature and started cracking some skulls, they’d be taken seriously.

That said, I don’t understand why would Jayalalitha be targeted by LTTE. Considering she gives no reason, I have serious doubts about her being targeted simply because of her Brahmin heritage.

      • boopalanj   May 25, 2011 at 5:34 pm

Yes, surely they could not have exercised something like – Anti-Thevarism / Anti-Vanniyarism / Anti-Gounderism / etc – which are few dominant communities in Tamilnad. [After all, they run their political boat on these community waves] It would have put an end to both their careers and lives.

        SearchIndia.com Responds:

Brahmins accounted for about 3% of the Tamil Nadu population in the 1931 Census. (Not sure, if the 3% included Brahmins in parts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka that were then part of the Madras Presidency). Plus, this 3% was spread over a vast area.

Fast forward to the 21st century. It’s likely that Tamil Population/proportion is significantly lower after accounting for migration overseas and to other parts of India and growth in population of other communities.

Given the lack of a strong martial spirit in the community and their insignificant numbers spread over a large territory, it’s possible that any resort to violence by Brahmins could lead to their decimation.

        • sam   May 25, 2011 at 11:44 pm

Most Brahmins are highly selfish cowards with no regard to the outside community. They will not help anyone willingly. And also they are burdened by stupid beliefs.

Jai Ho Rationalism. Bill Maher jai ho! If they get the treatment they are getting, maybe they deserve it. Anyway all they want is 2 top their classes and fly to US.

            @sam:

“Most Brahmins are highly selfish cowards with no regard to the outside community. They will not help anyone willingly.”

The Tam-Bram community is cowardly (however a UP Brahmin will kick your butt, because they have much political strength), but the selfish part with no regard for outside community- you can say that about any community in India. Have you met the Jats yet?

“And also they are burdened by stupid beliefs. ”

What stupid beliefs might they be? A belief in a supernatural? Or ostracizing another community or not marrying outside their community? You think Jats, Khatris, Patels, Thevars, Goundars, Nadars, Chettiars etc. have very rational beliefs? How do you justify sacrifices like “Kutti Kudithal” for Karuppusami, a non-Agamic/Vedic deity? How do you justify inbreeding among non-Brahmin business/mercantile communities like Nadars? How do you justify how common female infanticide is amongst non-Brahmin communities in Tamil Nadu?

Don’t even get me started about Christians and Muslims.

            “Jai Ho Rationalism.”

Yes…Jai Ho Rationalism. But where does the glorification of rationalism fit into your argument?

            “Bill Maher jai ho!”

Do you know Bill has a stubborn stance against vaccination, despite OVERWHELMING scientific evidence to the contrary of his claims of vaccinations causing autism and other illnesses.

I like the man and his show, but he isn’t perfect.

“If they get the treatment they are getting, maybe they deserve it.”

Because, they do their version of what very community in India practices? No they deserve their treatment because they lack unity and are too cowardly to fight against it.

“Anyway all they want is 2 top their classes and fly to US.”

Riiiight…because the Sikhs, Patels, Shahs, and other non-Brahmins have NEVER left their shores? Puhleeze!

i remember years ago when i went to the local smarta punditji’s house one evening after i had finished setting up for the navratri celebration band from detroit.

I asked him in advance if i could please have dinner with him and he nodded his head. Well i went over to his house and when i asked him if i could come in,he abruptly said”go eat in the mundir” LOL well his wife was kind enough to let me in and eventually the pundit swallowed his pride and let me break bread with him (or in my case, roti’s).the whole time i was eating he kept looking at me like he wanted to tear my head off and refused to let me start conversation with him.when his daughter agreed to refill my glass, she(being 10 at the time) climbed up the counter and got me a refill.when she sat back down, pundit(ji) scorned her”(name removed) I do NOT like this, your NOT AN AMERICAN”!!! well the gettysburgh adress and martin luther’s i have a dream speech aside, the meal was pleasant and i thanked deviji for taking the time to make me dinner.

u can analyse my every word n write what u like. But everything is a fact. Dont deny it just coz u might be a Brahmin. Learn to accept the truth.

True, maher isn’t perfect.. but who is? Talking bout stupid beliefs, I was elaborating on Brahmins only as the topic is on them. Please be aware that 62% of south indians in U.S. are brahmins. Academically, they are the most intellligent, but not intellectually.

It is also true and ironic that mr. Cho and mr. swamy, the 2 most courageous and bravest people of India are brahmins. Even jaya, being a lady.

            Also, fact that i m a bmin!

        • shadowfax_arbit   May 26, 2011 at 2:17 am

But most Brahmins are intelligent. As Alagiri once said, ‘ava’ ellam onnu senthuta (all avas joined together) and he was wary of it. As it works out, it takes only 2 of the 3 avas to topple DMK government – Cho ramasamy & Jayalalitha in 2001, Subramanian Swamy & Jayalalitha in 2011.

          • logu   May 29, 2011 at 4:51 am

@Sam you say ” 62% of south indians in U.S. are brahmins”.

Make your arguments sound a little plausible atleast. Do you have any links to prove it or is it one more of your delusions??
When you say brahmins have no regard to the outside community, how many christians, devars, mudaliars, muslims you see helping their fellow community members in distress??
I second StrYngLad74’s opinion on other communities leaving our shores…

You write Academically, they are the most intellligent, but not intellectually..

Yeah, last time i learnt the Narikuravas who migrated to US were the most intellectual immigrants ever …..

  3. StrYngLad74   May 29, 2011 at 12:57 pm

@sam: “u can analyse my every word n write what u like.”

Yes, I analyzed your statements and responded thus. What’s wrong with that?

    “But everything is a fact.”

No, what you have is personal bias and conjecture.

“Dont deny it just coz u might be a Brahmin. Learn to accept the truth.”

I am a Tam-Bram. Those who’ve known me for the past 4 years or so posting sporadically on SI, would attest to that. It’s not something I’ve hidden, but it’s something I’m happy about. However, what I see is you poisoning the well by somehow making that issue more important than your logically flawed discussion and your failure to rebut the arguments posted.

“True, maher isn’t perfect.. but who is?”

    Exactly. Something we agree upon.

“Talking bout stupid beliefs, I was elaborating on Brahmins only as the topic is on them.”

Well, then you’re biased against Brahmins (not that it matters to me). It’s pretty obvious if you’re focused on the stupid beliefs of Brahmins and not the beliefs of non-Brahmins, which can be equally stupid if not more.

“Please be aware that 62% of south indians in U.S. are brahmins.”

Evidence?? I really doubt if any such statistics exist, but please do humor us.

And yes, LEGITIMATE U.S. GOVT. sources, please.

“Academically, they are the most intellligent, but not intellectually.”

If you can elaborate why they’re not intellectual but “academically intelligent,” only then can we proceed. However, if their intellectuality is being hampered, according to you, by their “stupid beliefs,” then you already know the answer. No community in India or anywhere in the world is bereft of stupid beliefs, the Pentecostals, Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Jews, Brahmins, Naidus, Nadars, Reddys, etc. have their own set of stupid beliefs…yes even the “godless” communists.

“It is also true and ironic that mr. Cho and mr. swamy, the 2 most courageous and bravest people of India are brahmins. Even jaya, being a lady.”

Again, this is personal opinion. I don’t think Cho, Jayalalithaa, or Swamy (Subramaniam?) are the BRAVEST people in India. There are many others that I’ve read about, who have fought the system without the kind of politicking or political support these three have.

    “Also, fact that i m a bmin!”

So? You haven’t made a cogent case for your claims yet and you’ve nothing besides conjecture, so what difference does it make whether you’re Brahmin or Nasrani Christian or Ahmadiyya Muslim or an alien from Mars?

  4. Twig   May 30, 2011 at 1:53 am

Jealousy. Jealousy and nothing else is the main cause of frustrated out burst against brahmins. Statistically their
community has produced brilliant minds, they are in to art, some of them are extremely beautiful (irrespective of their skin colour though most of them have white-ish complexion).
I remember how Jews were ridiculed, made fun of for their ability to make money and think well.

I completely agree with StrYnGLad74 that stupid beliefs are part of each and every community. Not just brahmins.

I feel uncomfortable in attributing human qualities to a group. (For example, jews are intelligent, Germans are smart, East asians are good at math etc) but it is to be investigated why those communities produced the minds they
    produced.
