Ayyayyo, Tamil film star and non-actress Nayantara’s plunge into the smutty bare market has failed to thwart this enchantress’ descent into an extended bear market.
The Aegan disaster, Kuselan debacle and Satyam fiasco exposed the nymphet’s ample assets to millions but alas revealed the bare truth – like the Indian stock market or the Nasdaq, Nayantara’s stock is barely on a high these days.
Though Nayantar’s dripping blouses are dipping lower, skimpy skirts inching higher and fleshy thighs spreading wider (in dances), the bare fact is that her panting producers and shaking distributors are bearing heavy losses lately not unlike our hedge fund moghuls.
Reason: Barely are viewers’ jaws dropping, flagpoles rising, hearts thumping or eyes bulging even at the wanton display of Nayantara’s bare meat or her bare back.
For once in Tamil movies, with Nayantara’s thread-bare attire less is not more.
Nayantar’s bare-all antics in Aegan or Satyam, revealing a deep cleavage into her ample tatas and charting a straight path to the moist Bermuda Triangle below, has barely lifted her sagging umm career.
As the Mallu Diana’s recent movies have fizzled at the box office, her bare flanks are exposed to sustained assault from a bevy of younger bare-and-dare heroines.

Most people have a wrong notion that mallu movies are all about sex and vulgarity… about all the shakeelas and reshmas……… But main stream mallu movies are diametric opposites………. i feel that the shakeelas and marias and reshmas do nothing more than what a mainstream actress/vamp/any female charactors in other language movies.

Sad thing? We think the Mallus are doing a service to humanity by making all those stress-busting…make it stress-releasing porn movies. Our only regret is that we haven’t seen any of them.

Navraj – What you said about Mallu movies is no longer true .. it was some years back producing movies with good scripts …. now its two stars Mohanlal and Mamooty keep doing masala flicks regularly (double role – annan Thampi & police inspector chasing criminals and what not )
and Dileep in the name of comedy comes up with Govinda style crass jokes instead of script based subtle humor .
The only sane person remaining ..is actor-director Srinivasan who still comes up excellent flicks .. Arabikatha & Udayananu Tharam are two of his latest gems .. that guy still rocks ..
Srinivas, I Completely agree with you. Recently tried to watch the so called “hits” of 2008– “Madambi”(Mohan lal), “Maya Bazaar”(Mamooty) and “Veruthe oru bharya”(Jayaram). Couldn’t watch any three for more than 30mins. Pathetic.I personally feel Jayaram was a disaster in the tamil movie “Saroja” too.He just didn’t care enough to give a convincing portrayal of the bad guy.
Once I was in a restarant with my hubby and was chatting away about how some people dress like christmas trees. all Bling Bling. A group of 3 ladies and a guy entered to collect their food parceled/packed/To-Go. They too were dressed like crows(rather hippos) in a glittering gold gown.(Have never been able to figure out the Indian fetish for gold and their love to display, at all times, even the tiniest piece of gold jewellery owned). I realised I was not the only person showing interest in this group. Heads at every table to observe them. I was conveying this scenario to my hubby who seemed fully immersed in the food before him.He looked up at the group….kept looking…. and then said feebly “Shakeela….”. The ONE and ONLY Shakeela? I have heard a lot about her,seen a lot written about her….. why would any guy with a little sense go watch a hippo like her? Now I knew why the heads at every table turned….Why the teenaged guys looked amused while their dads were squirming in their seats….Why the women were staring at the group, a mixture of emotions on their faces…… Why there was muffled laughter and whispering everywhere…….why the waiters were fighting to deliver this particular order….. and I thought it only had to do with all the BLING!!!!!

If you are referring to Jesse Jackson, he’s a blithering idiot and a scumbag…was involved in an extra-marital affair a few years back with a young woman named Karin Stanford. Was a big scandal then. Jesse has a young daughter from that relationship. You were probably not here then.

I burst into laughter when Navraj simply described Shakeela as a HIPPO, it’s hilarious. I was actually looking for suitable word for it and this is very well fitting.
The Kollywood movies depict the fat, flabby ones as sexy. Many were the times in my childhood, I used to wonder why they field too many heavy weight boxers for feather-weight bouts.
Maybe, (this is what I think) there are too many people who cannot afford big sofas and cushioned beds. So, instead they would satisfy themselves with the bulk of flesh pressed against them and they go blues with the sensation….(haa,,haa)
I have nothing against the fat girls or the plump ones. But, there’s a typical ineterest in Sount Indian Cinema to portray these fat women as sexy. Something wrong here with their lust for “Maamisa Malaigal” (Fleshy Giants).
