Watching Raavanan (Tamil)

We must be made of stern stuff, eh.

Else, we’re gluttons for punishment.

You ask why?

After enduring the unendurable Raavan (Hindi) this morning, here we are in the theater waiting for the Tamil Raavanan to start.

The Hindi version was so pathetic that we’re optimistic that the Tamil version can’t get any worse.

Vikram plays the ‘bad’ guy in the Tamil version while Prithviraj dons the role of the cop,

Alas, that non-actress Aishwarya Rai plays a key role in the Tamil version too.

Fairly decent crowd of about 50 people in the hall.

Please do pray for us.

Two of my friends watched Raavanan on the first day. One of them said it was OK while the other said it was awesome(not the story but the cinematography and acting). She also went on to say that Aishwarya Rai has atleast TRIED to “act” ๐Ÿ˜› .

I hope vikram didn’t disappoint you in the tamil version as well.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write: I hope vikram didn’t disappoint you in the tamil version as well.

Vikram in Raavanan is a million gazillion times better than that bozo Abhishek Bachchan was in the Hindi version.

Working on the Tamil review now. Here’s the headline Raavanan Review – Tamil Shit Better than Hindi Shit ๐Ÿ™

“Vikram in Raavanan is a million gazillion times better than that bozo Abhishek Bachchan was in the Hindi version.”

See, I told you he was a good actor. If his portrayal of Dev in Raavan didn’t work, it’s probably because the character itself is a bit of a caricature/poorly fleshed out in the screenplay.

Anyway, when’ll we see your 7G review?

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

      7G? Hopefully soon.

Dialogues are usually major plus in his movies but this time it was not Sujatha but Suhashini. She must have screwd it up ๐Ÿ™

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Dialogs were most banal.

Instead of watching the two Epic (fail) movies, I decided to watch Toy Story 3. Now THIS is a good movie! I’m assuming that after Up, your opinion on animated features is quite unfavorable. However, Toy Story 3’s wonderful screenplay and editing (among other things like background score, detailed animation and, a hilarious reference to The Shawshank Redemption!!) makes is a great movie. I strongly recommend this movie!

PS: You don’t even have to watch the first two Toy Stories to understand the plot of this movie.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

We’re of a strong mind to stop watching Indian garbage from now on and stick only to Hollywood/Foreign movies.

We’ll try to see Toy Story 3 soon.

Not sure if you want to get your knowledge well rounded before you watch Toy Story 3.

If at all you visit the Disney World in Orlando, keep this in mind:
The Toy Story ride in Disney World is one of top 5 rides there.. (probably because I defeated all the adults and kids in our group!)

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

      1. Toy Story – will look at the comment later.

      2. Right now drinking an Italian Soda and waiting inside a movie hall to watch (hopefully) a lovely English movie.

Have high hopes based on the excellent reviews.

      Review coming later tonight.

Desperate to get ride of the lingering bad taste of Raavan/Raavanan.

do u even get proper sleep?

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Slept for a couple of hours after the Tamil movie.

Been overdosing on caffeine for the last 48-hours. Not as good as our favorite Gin, of course. ๐Ÿ˜‰
