    SearchIndia.com Responds:

A Very Good Morning from DE.

We’ll kill ourselves if India loses. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Are you watching on TV or PC? How’s the reception?

We’re on PC now and will shift to TV in the second half.

  3. kd36939   February 27, 2011 at 5:09 am

Watching on PC. According to an email from Willow TV support, streaming on WII will be available only after 10 days ๐Ÿ™

Reception is above average. Had couple of buffering issues so far… not sure if its Willow TV streaming problem or my slow internet connection. What about you?

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    No buffering on Comcast. Smooth.

Dunno how it’ll be on Roku later.

  4. kd36939   February 27, 2011 at 5:40 am

Had problems with sync between video and sound. There was a dilation of a second or so… changed the streaming source and everything is fine now.

Let’s wait for India’s bowlers to shine. So far, the inadequacies of Indian bowling attack has been masked superbly by the Indian Batsmen. I am just waiting to see if Indian bowlers are good enough to restrict England to 250. Hope they defend the total easily atleast.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

We have an eerie feeling that India will lose this match. ๐Ÿ™

England’s batsmen are off to a nice start.

You are right, our bowling lineup is not that impressive.

    • เฎฎเฏเฎฉเฎฟAndy   February 27, 2011 at 11:02 am

good prediction! India is going to lose this meaningless game (they are going to move to QF regardless of the outcome). Watched Sachin’s ton and slept. The Bell LBW non-decision was terrible.

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write: The Bell LBW non-decision was terrible.

      All part of the game.

What about Harbajan missing the Andrew Strauss catch in the 6th over?. That was REAL BAD & REAL COSTLY.

      • เฎฎเฏเฎฉเฎฟAndy   February 27, 2011 at 11:15 am

Symon?? You need sleep.. Unfortunately tonight is Oscar night.. Hope your eyes can take it.

  8. Aswin_Kini   February 27, 2011 at 8:58 am

SI: “We have an eerie feeling that India will lose this match.”

Hmmmm…possible, but very difficult. Unless one of the England batsman plays a blinder of a knock or the Indian bowlers spray the ball around to leak runs, India will definitely win.

My guess is that England may get close and lose by 14-20 runs. If India bowl well, maybe by 30-40.
But if India bowl badly, I won;tbe surprised to see England win by a slender margin (1-3 wickets)

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

We need to get some quick wickets to apply pressure like England did in the latter half of India’s batting innings.

  9. boopalanj   February 27, 2011 at 10:52 am

    England remains unmoved.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

No way Indian can win now! ๐Ÿ™

  10. Aswin_Kini   February 27, 2011 at 10:55 am

As I type, England are easily trodding towards India’s total. I am terribly disappointed with Dhoni. He has been persisting with Yuvraj despite the fact that he was giving easy runs. A smart captain would have brought his main bowlers to apply pressure. Guess the hype about Dhoni is gonna die soon.

Congrats Dhoni! You are on the way to gain the ignominious record of losing despite setting a huge score of 339.

    So much for smart thinking….

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

England might as well keep the Champagne on ice now.

    • Aswin_Kini   February 27, 2011 at 11:16 am

“England might as well keep the Champagne on ice now.”

As they say, “It ain’t all over till the Fat Lady sings”…… But as of now, Indian team is bowling like a set of rank amateurs against Strauss and Bell.

Reminds me of the 1987 Semi-Final Match between India and England where the then-England Captain, Graham Gooch, SWEPT the Indian Spinners away to lead England to a fine win……

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write: As they say, “It ain’t all over till the Fat Lady sings”……

Ha ha ha. What are you smoking?

If India wins this match, we’ll change our name to Aswin Kini. ๐Ÿ™

      • Aswin_Kini   February 27, 2011 at 12:09 pm

Lol, India have tied this match, or should I say England tied it for themselves ๐Ÿ˜›

So, change your name to Aswin instead of Aswin Kini ๐Ÿ˜‰

        SearchIndia.com Responds:

  14. STG   February 27, 2011 at 11:42 am

I am not a big cricket fan but still I guess if India wins… Zaheer Khan could become Man of the Match…for changing the path of the game with 2/2 ๐Ÿ˜‰

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Howdy Sweetie. Long time no Hear.

Yes, Zaheer Deserves it IF India wins. Otherwise Andrew Strauss.

    • boopalanj   February 27, 2011 at 11:53 am

Aswin Kini: “My guess is that England may get close and lose by 14-20 runs. If India bowl well, maybe by 30-40.

Now SI, either of these statements may come true. ๐Ÿ™‚

My god, now none of these statements is true ๐Ÿ˜€

        God was watching?

        SearchIndia.com Responds:

Andrew Strauss is Man of the Match.

Must have been a really, really tough decision considering the other equally worthy contenders – Tim Bresnan (5-48) and Zaheer Khan.

  15. เฎฎเฏเฎฉเฎฟAndy   February 27, 2011 at 11:50 am

Bresnan is in the reckoning too.. if he manages to get 20 odd runs + 5 wkt.. if Eng wins.

  19. STG   February 27, 2011 at 12:07 pm

A Tie…could be an easy win for India…but you see…we always like being sensational ๐Ÿ˜‰

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

    Awesome Match!

Now, we’re going to get DRUNK. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  20. Aswin_Kini   February 27, 2011 at 12:11 pm

Thanks to Zaheer Khan, India pull off tie. If not for STUPID DHoni (Who failed to run out Bresnan in the penultimate over), England have tied.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

In our not so humble opinion, Harbajan dropping the Andrew Strauss catch in the 6th over was the big killer.

  21. Aswin_Kini   February 27, 2011 at 12:30 pm

“In our not so humble opinion, Harbajan dropping the Andrew Strauss catch in the 6th over was the big killer.”

Yeah, did he drop the catch, I didn’t know it. If so, disappointing.

I thought India lost their way when Dhoni choose to persist with Yuvraj despite the fact that Strauss and Bell were easily playing him. In fact, I thought that Strauss and Bell were doing NET PRACTICE. No intelligent captain would allow batsmen to settle down so easily. DHONI is a bit too cocky about his tactics. Somebody needs to tell him that NO TEAM HAS WON A WORLD CUP WITH JUST 3 MAIN BOWLERS???????? (Yes, I don’t consider Harbhajan as a Main bowler, he is not a very capable wicket taker).

If India desire to go anywhere near the Semis, they have to play 4 main bowlers and stop relying on “pie chucker” Yuvraj. I sincerely play that Nehra gets some form and starts bowling like his old self (2002-03). Else, bye bye India

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

Haven’t seen such a thrilling match in eons.

Let’s hope the coming matches end in a better result for India.

India certainly needs to tighten up on the fielding. Our boys are just not as agile on the ground as the Terrorists aka Pakis.

    • boopalanj   February 27, 2011 at 1:29 pm

Last ball, My heart was about to explode. Such a tension prevailed. Only if India won by 1 run, it would have been a great match!!!

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

Definitely, it’d have been nicer had India won.

But still it was a great nail-biting thriller of a match.

      Paisa Vasool!

    • logu   February 28, 2011 at 3:59 am

Ya definitely pakistan oops terroristan displayed tremendous killer instincts right from the word go.. it was surprising to see usually drugged shoaib Akhtar bowling with lot of firepower and Shahid Afridi may not be the person you turn to if you want a book on ethics, but he plays his cricket with passion and with a fierce will to win Even he was disappointed with the way his team fielded He quoted ” if we fielded the way we did today, we’ll soon headback to pakistan”.
He was appealing for everything under the sun day before yesterday, but our fearless leader went amnesic about the art of appealing. He was content to let events take their own course, and he got incredibly lucky that England seemed to be as intent in losing as he was.
.. India needs to pick up lessons from Afridi to play with such a passion and exhibit firepower that could burn your opponents .. Munaf always looks like a unwilling husband after a lengthy session in the bed.. Couldn’t imagine a tailender hitting his first ball for a six by one of our premier bowlers. India’s batting looks rock solid but they need to tighten the screws in the bowling dept. if they dream of going any further

      SearchIndia.com Responds:

You write: but our fearless leader went amnesic about the art of appealing.

We were also surprised by his reluctance to do so. Come on, what do you lose by yelling Howzat?

  23. 1012900   February 28, 2011 at 9:45 am

The last over of India’s innings could have been better.
I guess they were over confident that India would surely win as they have scored so high. They ended the match in 49.5 overs. They should have played that last ball. BTW, there were some major blunders in our fielding. Andrew Strauss should have been out early in the game. I guess it was an inside edge. In the replay that they showed, you can clearly hear the sound of the ball hitting the edge of the bat before Dhoni catches it. Had he appealed, it would have been an out. It’s a surprise that he didn’t. Even if he wasn’t sure, he could have just tried.

    SearchIndia.com Responds:

As to why Dhoni didn’t appeal is one of the great mysteries of this match. The commentators also went on and on about the incident.
