Ayyayyo, Tamil film star and non-actress Nayantara’s plunge into the smutty bare market has failed to thwart this enchantress’ descent into an extended bear market.

The Aegan disaster, Kuselan debacle and Satyam fiasco exposed the nymphet’s ample assets to millions but alas revealed the bare truth – like the Indian stock market or the Nasdaq, Nayantara’s stock is barely on a high these days.

Though Nayantar’s dripping blouses are dipping lower, skimpy skirts inching higher and fleshy thighs spreading wider (in dances), the bare fact is that her panting producers and shaking distributors are bearing heavy losses lately not unlike our hedge fund moghuls.

Reason: Barely are viewers’ jaws dropping, flagpoles rising, hearts thumping or eyes bulging even at the wanton display of Nayantara’s bare meat or her bare back. Continue reading »

Concerned about the impact on those lucrative outsourcing contracts from the U.S., Indian CEOs are likely peeing in their trousers following Barack Obama’s victory in the U.S. Presidential polls.

This is what Infosys co-founder and Chief Mentor N.R.Narayana Murthy had to say:

We believe Obama to be a pragmatic leader who understands that American industry needs to be competitive not just in America but in third countries as well.

Nokia has released its N96 multimedia phone in the U.S. market and priced it at a whopping $900 (yes, that is nine hundred dollars).

And this overpriced device does not even have a touchscreen interface like the iPhone.

As far as we can tell no cell phone operator is subsidizing the N96 in the U.S.

Given the current state of the U.S. economy, the sullen mood of American consumers and lack of carrier subsidies, the Nokia N96 is destined to become one of the biggest flops.

We view the recent protests, hunger strikes and other such nonsense by Tamil film stars and other sections in Tamil Nadu on behalf of the Tamils in Sri Lanka as nothing more than a veiled effort and a ruse to give the terrorist outfit LTTE time to recoup their strength after their severe battering by the Sri Lankan army.

In this context, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayake’s comments before the country’s Parliament on November 4 are worthy of reproduction:

If the people of India remember their past, they would feel the pressure exerted by LTTE terrorism. The LTTE killed a great Indian leader [former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi]. We believe any Indian citizen with feelings will not pardon the LTTE.

[C]ertain pro-LTTE elements in South India have engaged in various activities to boost the image of the LTTE. We think these are moves engaged in by certain elements due to a lack of understanding.

We are waiting to hear of large-scale protests in Tamil Nadu by Rajinikanth et al seeking the capture of LTTE leader Prabhakaran.

But then that would require some spine, wouldn’t it.

Evidently even that kid Genelia is a bigger draw at the box office than Tamil film star and non-actor par excellence Ajith Kumar.

One of the worst Tamil movies in living memory, the Ultimate Kuppa Aegan featuring that most incompetent actor Ajith Kumar, has fared miserably at the U.K. box office.

To Ajith’s everlasting shame, Aegan had a lower average at the U.K. box office than even the Genelia-Jayam Ravi film Santosh Subramaniam. That nadir will be hard to match, even by Ajith’s disgraceful standards.

Look at the numbers below for how Aegan has fared at the U.K. box office compared to a few other Tamil movies in the opening weekend:

As the above numbers attest, Aegan’s performance in the U.K. is pathetic Continue reading »

We are so thrilled.

Barack Obama has decisively won the U.S. Presidential elections.

*********************

Based on early results, SearchIndia.com confidently declares that Democratic candidate Barack Obama has won the historic U.S. presidential elections bringing the long Republican nightmare and misadministration to an end.

At 10:29 PM EST, Obama already had 207 votes in the bag compared to 138 for his Republican opponent John McCain.

But remember one important point - Democratic states of California, Oregon and Washington have not announced yet. Unless hell freezes over, these three states are NOT going to vote for a Republican candidate. So that is 73 additional votes for Obama taking him past the finishing line of 270 votes required to win the U.S. Presidential elections.

Besides winning in the big Democratic strongholds of Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Illinois and Massachusetts, Obama also pulled off impressive victories in the Republican states of Ohio, New Mexico and Iowa.

Historic Win
By winning the hard-fought election, Obama has made history as the first African American candidate (his father was from Kenya and his mother a White American) to win the U.S. Presidency.

Barack Obama – Historic Victory

Obama’s is an inspiring story – his parents separated soon after their marriage and his father went back to Kenya. There was very little contact between Obama and his father afterwards.

Obama was raised by his mother and White grandparents in Hawaii (Obama’s grandmother Madelyn Payne Dunham died on Sunday).

Indian-Americans and Obama
Indian-Americans, who in our opinion are mostly racist, initially supported Hillary Clinton in the primaries.

Indian-American support for Hillary during the primaries was so overwhelming that an irritated Obama campaign had this to say in Continue reading »

We are just back from the polling booth at the local middle school having cast our vote for Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama.

We hope you’ll consider voting for Obama because he’s the better candidate in this crucial election.

John McCain and his fellow Republicans represent more of the same nonsense we’ve endured for the last eight years.

The Republican Party is the party of Plutocrats (very wealthy people) and does not represent the interests of ordinary people.

George W.Bush and his cronies have demonstrated the immense destruction that Republicans can do to this nation. America cannot afford any more damage.

A vote for Barack Obama is perhaps our last chance to fix many of the serious problems this nation now faces.

Please consider voting for Barack Obama and the Democratic ticket in your city or state.

Jai America.

Hello, did we hear someone say that Fashion – Priyanka Chopra’s Ugly Movie About Beautiful People – has had a great box office response.

Bullshit.

Just look at Fashion’s box office numbers in the U.S. – the movie is a frigging disaster.

In its opening weekend (October 31-November 2, 2008), Fashion grossed a piffling $105,812.

This pathetic piece of shit came in at No-36 and had an average of $2,645.

Please see below table for how Fashion has fared compared to some other Bollywood/Indian movies:

A few minutes back (around 8:30 PM EST), we were watching Campbell Brown of CNN blah-blah-blahing about tomorrow’s U.S. Presidential elections.

Campbell mentioned that one of the good luck charms that Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama always carries with him is a small statue of the Hindu Monkey God Hanuman.

I am Hanuman &
I Endorse Barack Obama

We’ll know tomorrow if good ol’ Hanuman – the one with Continue reading »
